Against the backdrop of Russo-American talks in Saudi Arabia and the emergency European security summit in Paris, France, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is visiting Turkey today to speak with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. According to a statement from President Zelensky, food, security, prisoner exchanges, and some bilateral educational and cultural initiatives are the topics for discussion. On the prisoner exchanges: Alongside the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia, Turkey has played a key role in facilitating past prisoner exchanges and other Russo-Ukrainian wartime communications. However, given the aforementioned meetings and summits, peace negotiations will likely be on the docket for conversation as well.

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) rose six places to number 35 in the latest World Watch List. Last year, 355 were killed for their faith, compared with 261 the previous year, whilst an estimated 10,000 were internally displaced, which is ten times more than 2023.
