Definitions
- the invention relates to a textile goods holder for holding textile goods for the purpose of processing them in a textile processing machine.
- a material holder for the table of a sewing machine is known.
- the textile parts to be sewn rest on the holes in the top of the table.
- the holding force with which the textile material is held cannot easily be increased to such an extent that the textile material is absolutely clamped. Since the entire surface rests on the textile material, the surface pressure can only be applied at extreme Increase large negative pressures as much as may be necessary to securely clamp the textile goods.
- the vacuum pumps to be used for these purposes would be relatively complex and accordingly expensive.
- the invention has for its object to provide a textile holder that exerts a maximum holding force on the textile material to be processed with the lowest possible weight and the lowest possible equipment outlay.
- the invention proposes a textile holder which is provided with a first pressing part, an essentially bowl-shaped second pressing part, which has a circumferential outer contact flange, the textile goods being clampable between the contact flange of the first pressing part and the second pressing part and there is a cavity between the two pressure parts, and at least one opening in one of the two pressure parts for connection to a vacuum pump to generate a vacuum between the two pressure parts for pressing the first pressure part and the pressure flange of the second pressure part on both sides against the textile material .
- the textile goods to be processed from which, for example, an area is to be punched out or which is to be sewn, glued, vulcanized or otherwise processed, is firmly clamped between two pressing parts by means of negative pressure.
- the entire textile goods holder and the processing machine provided for processing the textile goods can be moved, ie moved, relative to one another. With the movement of the textile goods relative to the working processing machine is always accompanied by a relative movement of the textile goods holder and the processing machine.
- One of the two pressing parts (hereinafter referred to as the second pressing part) of the textile goods holder according to the invention is essentially bowl-shaped and has a circumferential outer contact flange which, when the textile goods are held, bears on one side of the textile goods while the textile goods are on its other side the other pressing part (hereinafter referred to as the first pressing part).
- the first pressing part In one of the two pressure parts there is an opening to which a line leading to a vacuum pump can be connected.
- the two pressing parts form a suction chamber through which the textile material to be processed extends at least to the outer contact flange.
- the textile material should be permeable to air so that a vacuum is established on both sides of the textile material despite the opening being arranged on only one side of the textile material.
- provision can be made to arrange the opening in the border area of the two pressing parts such that the two "half-spaces" forming on both sides of the textile material within the suction chamber are in fluid communication with the vacuum pump.
- the pressing force which arises as a result of the negative pressure and with which both pressing parts are pressed against the textile material on both sides thereof can be converted into a large surface pressure along the contact flange.
- This large surface pressure guarantees a high holding force and a highly gas-tight seal between the two pressing parts and the textile material.
- the high holding force arises despite the lightweight construction of the textile goods holder because by the design of the contact flange on one of the two pressing parts, this is mechanically stable despite the chamber-like configuration and thus prevents this pressing part, which is in the form of a shell, from bending due to the negative pressure.
- this pressing part has a plate, on one side of which a material ring is arranged, which is connected gas-tight to the plate and which forms the contact flange.
- the cross section of the material ring is preferably rectangular and lying flat.
- On its side facing away from the plate, with which it lies against the textile material it can be provided with a sealing material, which is preferably gas-tight.
- This elastic sealing material nestles against the textile material or its surface structure and in this way increases the tightness seal when the second pressing part abuts the textile material with its contact flange.
- Such a sealing material can also be arranged on the first pressing part, specifically in its area opposite the contact flange when the textile goods are held.
- the first pressing part is preferably designed as a plate, which can be made relatively thin.
- the entire textile goods holder is thus extremely lightweight if its first pressing part, as described above, is designed as a simple plate and its second pressing part is designed as a plate provided with a ring as a pressing flange.
- This also has the advantage that the textile goods holder is easily and conveniently automatically converted, transported or transported by a manipulation arm of a processing machine without substantial effort. the like can be moved.
- the textile goods must be processed within the area defined by the outer contact flange. The textile material must therefore be exposed in this inner area in order to be processed.
- At least one pressing part, in particular the second pressing part has a recess which is delimited by an inner contact flange which, like the outer contact flange, rests on the side of the textile material opposite the first pressing part.
- the chamber to which negative pressure is applied is formed by the region lying between the two flanges.
- the inner contact flange can also be designed as a flat ring which is connected to the plate of the second pressing part and whose side facing away from this plate is provided with a gas-tight sealing material in particular.
- a recess in the first pressing part is flush with the recess of the second pressing part when the textile material is held between the two pressing parts.
- a plurality of recesses provided with inner contact flanges can also be provided in the second pressing part. This depends on the extent to which and where the textile goods held by the textile goods holder according to the invention have to be processed. In the case in which the textile material only has to be processed on its outer edge, it protrudes in this area over the outer contact flange of the second pressing part, that is, it is exposed so that it can be processed with the corresponding processing machine. In the case of sewing two over- Textile parts lying opposite one another can then both be sewn using a sewing machine.
- FIG. 2 shows a representation similar to that in FIG. 1 with an alternative embodiment of the material holder
- FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment of a material holder in vertical section
- FIG. 4 shows a plan view of the sewing material holder according to FIG. 3 with the sewing machine indicated
- Fig. 5 is a plan view of a workpiece holder with recess and
- FIG. 6 shows a vertical section through the material holder according to VI-VI of FIG. 5.
- a circular sewing machine 10 is shown, the two sewing material parts 12 in the form of two pieces of textile sewn together at the edges 14 thereof.
- the material parts 12 are held together by a material holder 16, which is shown in the drawing in longitudinal section.
- the sewing material holder 16 has a vacuum chamber 18, through which there passes the sewing material parts 12 extend, with their edges 14 projecting laterally out of the vacuum chamber 18.
- the vacuum chamber 18 is divided into two and has an upper and a lower chamber half 20, 22.
- Each chamber half 20, 22 is formed with a circumferential flange 24, 26 designed as a flange, by means of which they rest on the sewing material parts on both sides.
- the sewing material holder 16 is connected to a vacuum pump 32 via a suction line 28, which is connected to an opening 30 of the lower chamber half 22, for example.
- FIG. 2 An alternative embodiment of a material holder 36 is shown in FIG. 2. As far as the parts shown in Fig. 2 correspond to those of Fig. 1, they are provided with the same reference numerals.
- the lower chamber half is designed as a plate-shaped first pressing part 20, while the upper chamber half is designed as a bowl-shaped pressing part 22.
- the second pressing part 22 has a raised edge with a circumferential outer contact flange 24.
- In the upper (second) pressing part 22 there is an opening 30 to which the suction line 28 leading to the vacuum pump 32 is connected.
- the outer contact flange 24 of the second pressing part 22 closes with the outer edge 38 of the plate of the first lower pressing part. some 20 flush.
- the contact flange 24 and the pressing part 22 have mutually opposite strips of elastic sealing material 39, which abut the sewing material 12 on both sides.
- the edges of the material to be sewn 12 protrude outwards from the material holder 36.
- the entire material holder 36 can be stored at 40.
- FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of a sewing material holder 46 in longitudinal section; a top view of this material holder 46 is shown in FIG. 4. It also applies here that the parts that the in the Figs. 1 and 2 correspond, are provided with the same reference numerals.
- the material holder 46 also has a plate-shaped first lower pressing part 20, opposite which a stepped upper second pressing part 22 is arranged.
- the sewing material parts 12 to be sewn are located between the two.
- the shell-shaped upper pressing part 22 has a metal plate 48, on the underside of which facing the pressing part 20 a metal ring 50 is fastened, in particular by screwing, which forms the outer contact flange 24 of the second pressing part 22.
- the opening 30, to which the suction line 28 is connected, is formed in the plate 48.
- the ring 24 is rectangular in cross section and lies flat on the textile part 12.
- sealing material 52 On its underside facing away from the plate 48 and facing the textile material part 12, it is provided with a sealing material 52, which is preferably elastic and is in particular gas-tight. Such a sealing material 52 is also arranged on the plate of the first pressing part 20 in such a way that both sealing materials 52 lie opposite one another in the holding state. It should also be pointed out here that these sealing materials 52 can be provided in all of the sewing material holders described here.
- a last embodiment of a sewing material holder 56 is shown. It also applies here that the parts that the in the Figs. 1 to 4 are shown with the same reference numerals.
- the structure of the upper second pressing part 22 of the material holder 56 essentially corresponds to that of the upper pressing part 22 of the material holder 46 of FIGS. 3 and 4.
- the material holder 56 thus has a plate 48 which has a circumferential outer flange 24 which is formed by a ring 50 lying flat.
- a recess 52 in the plate 48 of the second pressing part 22 which is delimited by an inner contact flange 60, which is formed by a flat metal ring 62 and is gas-tightly connected to the plate 48.
- the inner flange 60 also has sealing material 52 on the underside of its ring 62.
- sealing material 52 on the plate of the first pressing part 20 opposite the inner flange 60 is also in the first pressing part 20 .
- a recess 64 which is flush with the recess 58 in the second pressing part 22. The sewing material parts 12 held between the two pressing parts 20, 22 are thus exposed in the area of the cutouts 58, 64 in order to be able to be processed there.
- the vacuum chamber 18 is formed by the circumferential closed space, which is formed on the one hand by the rings 50, 62 and on the other hand by the plate 48 of the second pressing part 22 and the plate of the first pressing part 20 is formed.
