Description

於所在位置抑制或控制微生物及較高等的水生生物生長所需之本發明組成物的明確量係取決於欲保護之特定所在位置。典型地,若本發明組成物於所在位置提供該組成物中0.1至1000ppm異噻唑啉成分,則該組成物的量係足以於該所在位置控制微生物的生長。該組成物之異噻唑啉成分存在於此所在位置的量以至少0.5ppm較佳,至少4ppm更佳及至少10ppm最佳。該組成物之異噻唑啉成分存在於此所在位置的量以不超過1000ppm較佳,不超過500ppm更佳及不超過200ppm最佳。
於本發明之一具體實例中,此組成物為實質上不含酵素性抗生物劑。較佳地,當BBIT或MBIT與對羥苯甲酸甲酯或對羥苯甲酸乙酯其中之一組合時,此組成物為實質上不含酵素性抗生物劑。酵素性抗生物劑為具有抗微生物活性之酵素,其係定義,例如,於美國專利申請公開案第2002/0028754號。
本發明組合的協同作用係藉檢驗廣範圍的化合物濃度及比例而予以驗證。
一種協同作用的測量係Kull,F.C.;Eisman,P.C.;Sylwestrowicz,H.D.及Mayer,R.L.描述於Applied Microbiology 9:538-541(1961)之工業上接受的方法,其係使用依下式所決定的比例:

/QA
和Qb
/QB
之總和等於1,表示加乘作用,而當少於1,表示協同作用。SI越低,顯示此特定混合物協同作用越大。抗菌劑之最小抑制濃度(MIC)為於特定一組條件下試驗出能夠防止所添加微生物之生長的最低濃度。
協同試驗使用標準微量滴定盤分析試驗(standard microtiter plate assay)以設計為最適所試驗微生物生長之培養基進行。補充0.2%葡萄糖及0.1%酵母菌萃取物之最小鹽類培養基(M9GY培養基)係用於試驗細菌;馬鈴薯葡萄糖液體培養基(PDB培養基)係用於試驗酵母菌及黴菌。於此方法中,抗菌劑與其他個人護理原料之廣範圍的組合係於各種濃度之BBIT或MBIT的存在下,藉由進行高解析MIC分析試驗而予以測試。高解析MIC係藉由添加不同量之抗菌劑至微滴定盤之一行,然後以自動液體處理系統進行十倍序列稀釋,以獲得自2ppm至10,000ppm範圍之活性成分之一系列終點而予以測定。
本發明之組合之協同作用係取決於抗細菌(大腸桿菌(E. coli
-ATCC#8739))、酵母菌(念珠菌(C. albicans
-ATCC 10231))、及黴菌(黑麴黴(A. niger
- ATCC 16404))。細菌係以每mL 5x106
細菌之濃度使用,而酵母菌和黴菌係以每mL 5x105
真菌。此等微生物係代表於許多消費性及工業應用中之自然污染物。培養盤於25℃(酵母菌及黴菌)或30℃(細菌)在經過各種培養時間後經目視評估微生物的生長(混濁)以判定MIC。
本發明BBIT組合之協同作用之驗證試驗結果顯示於下表1至26。於每一試驗,第一種成分(A)為BBIT而第二種成分(B)為其他商業可得之抗菌劑。每一表格顯示BBIT及第二種成分之特定組合;經培養時間對抗所檢測之微生物之結果;以ppm表示之終點活性,其係藉由量測BBIT單用(QA
)、第二種成分單用(QB
)、BBIT於混合物中(Qa
)、及第二種成分於混合物中(Qb

Claims (2)
- 一種抗菌組成物,包含:(a)N-(正-丁基)-1,2-苯并異噻唑啉-3-酮;及(b) 1,3-二羥甲基-5,5-二甲基乙內醯脲,其中,N-(正-丁基)-1,2-苯并異噻唑啉-3-酮與1,3-二羥甲基-5,5-二甲基乙內醯脲的重量比為1:0.02至1:200。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項所述之抗菌組成物,其中,N-(正-丁基)-1,2-苯并異噻唑啉-3-酮與1,3-二羥甲基-5,5-二甲基乙內醯脲的重量比為1:0.06至1:160。
