Abstract

1387611 Radiator shelves A S L OWENSMITH 13 March 1973 [16 March 1972 24 April 1972] 12316/72 and 18910/72 Heading A4B A radiator shelf 1 comprises a shelf plate 6 with inwardly facing channels 7, 8 defining a longitudinal guideway behind a depending front wall 4 and is secured above a radiator by at least one threaded pin 9 extending transversely of the shelf and slidable along the guideway, the pin 9 carrying a depending abutment plate 12 which engages a rearwardly facing surface of the radiator such that by rotation of the pin 9 the plate 12 clamps against the radiator and the rear edge of the shelf against a wall. In one embodiment, Fig. 1, the pin 9 has end blocks 10, 11 slidable in the channels 7, 8 and includes a formation 14 for engagement by a spanner. A resilient sealing strip 15 is fitted to the shelf rear edge. In another embodiment, Fig. 3, a screw-driver slot in the head 17 of the pin 16 is accessible through one of a plurality of holes 19 in the front wall of the shelf.
