Abstract

1,070,391. Shelves; shop counters; facing strips for shelves. COURTNEY, POPE Ltd. Sept. 15, 1964 [Oct. 29, 1963], No. 42707/63. Headings A4B, A4T and A4U. [Also in Division B8] A metal or plastics edging strip 1 has tongues 2 for attachment of the strip to the edge face of a counter, shelf &c. 5, and is formed with slots or recesses 4 receiving lugs 9, 11 of holders 10 for tickets and dividing panels 8. The tongues 2 are preferably integral with the strip and, if necessary, are secured by adhesive in a groove 6 in the shelf &c. A front panel 12 may be provided, held by a holder 13 which also holds a dividing panel 8. An edging strip may be provided at front and rear of the shelf &c. and, in modifications, the strip is of simple T-section, the supported panels are at an angle to the surface of the shelf &c.
