Abstract
1,109,915. Inspection fittings. YORKSHIRE IMPERIAL METALS Ltd. 8 Nov., 1966 [16 Nov., 1965], No. 48562/65. Heading F2P. A body 1 has two or more openings for the reception of the ends of pipes and an inspection opening 3 closed by a dished cover-plate 6 which projects into the opening and has an annular lip 7 adapted to compress a gasket 9 on to a lip 4 around the opening and to form a fluid seal. The cover may be held in place by bolts 8 screwed into a backing ring 5 and have a domed base of a shape which forms a continuance of the internal shape of the body 1.
