Abstract

1,119,730. Strainer with inspection cover. BRITISH PETROLEUM CO. Ltd. 25 Nov., 1966 [13 Dec., 1965], No. 52735/65. Heading BID. A strainer comprises a removable strainer element and a body housing the element, the strainer element comprising a steel mesh bag 1 attached to a steel collar 2, the body comprising a short length of pipe 3 with an access opening 6 in one side secured by a cover plate 7 which has attached to it a semi-cylindrical section of pipe 11, which, in position, forms a continuous section of pipe with the pipe of the strainer body. The collar 2 may be held in position between ring 12 and semi-circular rings 13 and 14.
