Abstract
1,061,165. Haymaking machines. PATENT CONCERN N.V. June 23, 1964 [July 1, 1963], No. 25999/64. Heading A1F. In a rake-wheel of the kind having tines 8 connected to a rim 5, portions of the tines which extend outwardly from the rim are formed with curved parts 10 lying behind a plane containing the tips of all the tines, the curved parts jointly defining a forwardly-open concavity concentric with the axis of the rake-wheel. The rim 5 is supported by flat spokes 6 having integral sleeves 7 at their inner ends which are secured by bolts 4 to the hub 1 between a flange 2 and a detachable ring 3. The tines are made in pairs and have parts 9A within the rim joined together by connecting portions 11 which lie adjacent to the hub and are helically-disposed relative to the wheel-axis. Eight such portions 11 are clamped between the ring 3 and flange 2. The tines 8 of each pair are approximately 90 degrees apart around the rim. Each tine passes freely through a hole in the rim and is retained therein by a bead 9.
