In a rake-wheel having circumferential resilient tines, each tine has a straight prong 1 of which the tip is free while the root is carried by a connecting member 2 attached to the remainder of the wheel, the connecting member consisting of two portions 4, 5 the first of which is substantially straight and is at one end connected to the tine so as to be out of alignment therewith, the other end being attached to one end of the second portion, the other end of the second portion being connected to the remainder of the wheel, the connection 7 between the tine and first portion being unsupported and being further from the wheel than the connection 8 between the first and second portions, the connection 9 between the second portion and the remainder of the wheel being also further from the wheelaxis than the connection 8. In Fig. 1 each tine is formed as a straight spoke 6 between the point 9 and the hub 3 and loosely carries a coupling element 11 through which passes the bend 8 in an adjacent tine. In a modification, Figs. 3 and 4, the coupling members are omitted, the corresponding bends 32 being interlinked by a continuous wavy member 44. In both constructions, the spoke-portions 30 have bent-over ends 41 which are received in holes 39, 40 in flanges 35, 36 on the hub and are clamped thereto by a ring 42. In Fig. 5 the wheel has two rims 53, 54, the inner rim 53 having eyelets 59 through which pass the second bends of the tines, the connections 62 to the wheel being made within the outer rim.
