Abstract

1,046,151. Two-part couplings. AMP Inc. Jan. 6, 1965 [Jan. 23, 1964], No. 500/65. Heading H2E. A resilient insulating contact housing H includes at least one contact passageway 2 having a tapering section 10 of reduced crosssection for engaging a socket contact S. A stop 22 on contact S abuts an annular ledge 6<SP>1</SP> on the section 10 and a spring latch 15 on contact S snaps under an annular lip 14 on the section 10. Stabilizing protuberances 8 are also provided around the periphery of the contact S. A pin contact P mounted in a complementary housing H<SP>1</SP> mates with the contact S.
