Abstract

1,041,207. Two-part couplings. SMITHS INDUSTRIES Ltd. May 14, 1965 [March 11, 1964], No. 10360/64. Heading H2E. A rotatable clamping element 13 has a shank part 20 provided with either a screw 15, as shown, or a threaded socket 16, Fig. 1 (not shown), and held in an aperture 18 in an electric connector housing by a sleeve 29 of shrinkable plastics secured around the shank and a slotted head part 21 fitted thereon. Rotation of the part 21 is transmitted to the part 20 so that the screw or threaded socket engages in a mating part of a conventional clamping element of a second connector housing.
