Abstract
Un procedimiento de preparación de ácido 5-fluor-2-metil-1(p-metilsulfinilbenciliden)-inden-3-acético o sus sales que comprende hacer reaccionar un haluro de ácido de fórmula: **(Fórmula)** donde A es metilo o junto con G forma un grupo metilideno; B es hidrógeno, metilo o halógeno; G es metilo, CH2R o junto con A forma un grupo metitideno, donde R es halógeno, hidroxi, sus éteres o ésteres o -N-(alquilo C1-5)2; Z es halógeno y (1) cuando A y G unidos representan metilideno, B es metilo; (2) cuando A y G son ambos metilo, B es halógeno y (3) cuando A es metilo y B es hidrógeno, G es CH2R; con fluorbenceno, en condiciones de Friedel-Grafts, para formar 5-fluor-2-metil-1-indanona.
