Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"GENES OTIMIZADOS EM PLANTAS CODIFICANDO TOXINAS PESTICIDAS"<D> A invenção exposta diz respeito aos materiais e aos métodos úteis no controle de pragas e, particularmente, pragas de plantas. Mais especificamente, a invenção exposta proporciona seqüências de polinucleotídeos otimizadas em plantas, que codificam toxinas pesticidas (tamanho natural e truncadas). As seqüências de polinucleotídeos truncadas podem ser usadas para produzir toxinas truncadas, ou para a produção de genes e proteínas de fusão (ou quiméricos). As seqüências de polinucleotídeos da invenção exposta têm certas modificações, comparadas com as seqüências do tipo selvagem, que as tornam particularmente bem adequadas para a expressão otimizada em plantas. Usando as técnicas conhecidas para aqueles versados na técnica, as seqüências de polinucleotídeos descritas aqui podem ser usadas para transformar as plantas, a fim de conferir resistência a pragas sobre as ditas plantas.
