Abstract

Un procedimiento para transesterificar grasa y/o aceite de origen biologico por alcoholisis, que comprende las etapas de: - preparacion de la grasa y/o elaceite de origen biologico a ser transesterificada/o en un recipiente, y - ejecucion de la alcoh olisis por agregado de un alcanol, en particular un alcanolmonovalente, y un catalizador a la grasa y/o al aceite preparada/o. Para sobrellevar las desventajas de los procedimientos usuales de transesterificacion seemplea como catalizador una sal met álica de un aminoácido o un derivado de aminoácido, la cual es insuluble en los alcanoles. De esta manera se provee unprocedimiento catalizado en forma heterogénea para transesterificar grasa y/o aceiete de origen biologico, en el cual el catalizador empleado es estable y losproductos formados no se encuentran impurificados con el material del catalizador. En particular, el nuevo procedimiento también transforma los ácidos grasospresentes en el material de partida en ésteres, de manera de evitar la desacidificacion tan necesaria hasta la fecha. El nuevo procedimiento puede ser llevadoa cabo fácilmente y arroja buenos rendimientos.
