Abstract
Un método y molécula para alterar el contenido de triptofano de una planta, comprendiendo el método las etapas de introducir y expresar un segmento aisladode ADN que codifica una antranilato sintetasa en las células de la planta, de modo que seobt engan plantas transgénicas transformadas con un segmento de ADNaislado que codifica una antranilato sintetasa, así como semillas y progenie derivada de esas plantas, obteniéndose también una secuencia de ADNc de unasubunidad alfa y unasubunidad b eta de una antranilato sintetasa de maíz.
