Abstract

PLANTAS TRANSGêNICAS COM ELEVADO TEOR DE TRIPTOFANO. A presente invenção proporciona um método para alteração do teor de triptofano de uma planta através de introdução e expressão de um segmento de DNA isolado que codifica uma síntase de antranilato nas células da planta. plantas transgênicas transformadas com um segmento de DNA isolado que codifica uma síntase de antranilato, bem como alimentos para animais ou seres humanos, sementes e prole derivada dessas plantas, também são proporcionados.
