Presenta composiciones y métodos para la producción de plantas masculinas estériles reduciendo los niveles de una quinasa de proteínadependiente del calio/calmodulina específica de las anteras en las anteras de una planta. Esto sep uede obtener, por ejemplo, expresando en por lomenos las anteras de una planta transgénicas un ácido nucleico de CCaMK, preferentemente en orientación de contrasentido.
