Abstract

Se describen plantas, particularmente plantas transgénicas, que tienen una enzima de 2-aciltransferasa, que pueden producirse a partir de Limnanthes conuna especificidad de sustrato alterada en comparación con el de la enzima natural. Porejem plo, el aceite de la semilla de colza (Brassica napus) puedecontener el transgen de 2-aciltransferasa derivado de Limnanthes douglasii a fin de producir trierucina. La secuencia de ADNc de la 2-aciltransferasa deLimnanthes douglasii y susecuencia de proteina equivalente se describen.
