Abstract

Se describe en la presente descripción una planta mutante, de origen no natural o transgénica o parte de esta que tiene la expresión reducida del gen que codifica la Floración Terminal 1 (TFL1) o la actividad reducida de la proteína codificada por TFL1, que consiste o que consiste esencialmente en (i) una secuencia de polinucleótidos que comprende, que consiste o que consiste esencialmente en una secuencia que tiene al menos 72% de identidad de secuencia con la SEQ ID NO:7 o SEQ ID NO:10 o SEQ ID NO:11 o SEQ ID NO:19 o SEQ ID NO:20; o (ii) un polipéptido codificado por el polinucleótido que se expone en (i); o (iii) un polipéptido que tiene al menos 72% de identidad de secuencia con la SEQ ID NO:9 o SEQ ID NO:21; en donde la expresión o actividad del polinucleótido o el polipéptido que se expone en (i), (ii) o (iii) se reduce en comparación con una planta de control en la que no se redujo la expresión o actividad del polinucleótido o el polipéptido que se exponen (i), (ii) o (iii).
