Abstract

La invención se refiere a una composición acuosa aglutinante alcalina para curar con dióxido de carbono gaseoso, que comprende un grupo fenol con resina de fenol-aldehído cargada negativamente o no cargada que se selecciona del grupo que consiste en resoles y mezclas que comprenden una o más resoles y una o más novolacs , un oxianión, seleccionado del grupo que consiste en iones borato, iones aluminato, iones estannato, iones circonato, iones de titanio y mezclas de los mismos, para formar un complejo estable con la resina de fenol-aldehído resol, en donde el peso molar total del grupo fenol de la resina fenol-aldehído en la composición acuosa aglutinante alcalina está en el rango de 1 - 3 mol/kg con respecto a la masa total de la composición acuosa aglutinante alcalina y en donde la resina fenol-aldehído tiene un peso molecular promedio (mw) en el rango de 750 - 1200 g/mol, determinada por la cromatografía de permeación en gel. La invención también se refiere al uso correspondiente, a una mezcla de moldeo para producir una forma de fundición y a un método correspondiente para producir una forma de fundición y una forma de fundición correspondiente.
