Wow it's crazy, things look like they have simultaneously changed, yet have remained exactly the same. Glad to hear that it's still Steve Blum doing the voice of Tom. It's been a while since I've watched Toonami so I'm not very familiar with his cyber fairy friend, but other than that it's still has that same vibe from the early 2000s. And wow yes it does look like they are still showing a lot of the current shown and stuff. I was kind of surprised to hear Tom refer to anime as cartoons, since that's always a very divisive word amongst the fan base. Hahaha!

So I am curious about something, does Cartoon Network air anime at all during the day when Toonami is not on, or is it only exclusive to that block? I remember back in the day when I would watch Toonami they would also have some anime sprinkled in during the day that wasn't part of that program, but I have a feeling times have probably changed with that. I know they used to show a ton of Teen Titans Go when I watched it last. So much so it felt like almost every day was a marathon, kind of like the way Nickelodeon is with spongebob. 🤣

I'm Cameron Thomas, my favorite anime is "Ninja Kamui" and my first anime I watched was "Sonic X" on June 14 2014 just to get myself into Sonic The Hedgehog. My other favorite things are movies, video games, and caring and having fun with others. Feel free to friend request me or checkout the anime I've watched. Okay then, based on what you're telling me it seems to at least stay true to the Deadpool vibes. I may just give it a gander then, I really enjoyed the Disney XD version for what it was, watered down sure but at least this help make the character appeal more to a larger audience. And you can never go wrong with Deadpool and microwave jokes! They practically write themselves. 😂

Kudos to you man, I haven't watched adult swim in a very long time just because I don't watch cable TV much anymore, or I guess TV channels in general. Wait to keep the torch alive though! How has the landscape changed when it comes to adult Swim? Does it still have that old school vibe or are they doing things a bit differently when it comes to like bumpers and whatnot, content as well?

Dude I've been meaning to ask you, how is the Manga version of Deadpool? I've been curious about that one for a few years now, but don't know many people that have read it. Considering I just noticed it was on your favorites list I couldn't help but ask. I love the movies as most people did, even the censored Christmas special, so I wouldn't mind checking out the manga if it's done real well and close to the source material.

My current profile pic comes from an anime called Fairy Musketeers. It actually has some really cool monster designs, it was released back in 2005 so you can definitely see where it got inspiration from various different things, like Pokémon, Digimon and what not.

Oh dude I've been meaning to ask you, since you were such a huge fan of the Donkey Kong Country animated series, are you also a huge fan of the video games as well? I'm sure you probably have already heard this but the Wii Port of Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Nintendo Switch actually got an update that includes Dixie Kong. What are your thoughts on it?

Wait didn't Nelvana go out of business last year, or am I thinking of a different company? But yeah you are right, they helped with a lot of dubbing projects back in the day. For me personally I remember they were the ones that handled Cardcaptor Sakura when it came as ardcaptors for kids WB. Boy that seems like forever ago. I also remember them doing other projects like a lot of stuff for Nick Jr back in the day, such as Little Bear. Not sure if you're familiar with him or not.

Hahaha! Bro I had a feeling you were going to absolutely love Egghead once you got to it. It is just so chock full of fan service and great lore drops for the story, not to mention all of the returning villains along with the new characters. It just has so many twists and turns I know you're going to absolutely love it. Plus once you see the flashback that is featured in it I know you were going to tear up. I would love to hear your thoughts on certain episodes and plot twists once you get to them. I won't name any here because I don't want to spoil anything for you, but trust me they are worth waiting for.

Oh gosh those bring back so many memories man! I remember every single one of them. I actually loved the song So much from the Donkey Kong Country cartoon that I hooked up to VCRs together back in like 1999, and made my own sing-along VHS tape where I would feature them back to back. So many memorable tunes. I remember I also like the one where Donkey Kong and Diddy were selling coconut chill shakes. "If you want to thrill try our coconut chill!" It's funny some of these songs I can still remember most of the lyrics to even after all these years. I also used to like the one where DK had to learn how to dance. I think it was called "anybody can do it anybody can dance." 😅

I guess now we are spoiled because we can just look up compilations on YouTube these days, thankfully most of them are still up and haven't been removed for copyright.

Bro that is an awesome story, always a pleasure to meet a fellow fan of the Donkey Kong Country series. The way I got into it is that we happen to get Fox Family on our Cable lineup back in the latest 90s and it was part of the program block then. We used to watch it normally on the weekends and they used to call it weekend chill sundays. I used to absolutely love those bumpers back in the day! So speaking of the TV series and all, do you happen to have a favorite song? Considering they were just a couple of minutes long in between episodes, they were very catchy and memorable. For me personally I loved all of the Scurvy songs. 😁
