Banished From The Hero's Party, I Decided To Live A Quiet Life In The Countryside

Gideon is banished from his sister's hero's party by Aries, one of the members lying to him about being trouble for the party's success. Aries tells the rest of the party that Red left voluntarily without saying a word. Gideon, now posing as "Red," settles in Zoltan, a quiet town and opens an apothecary with the help of the princess Rit of the neighboring city of Loggervia.

Season 1 is great - lots of action, wholesomeness, a beautiful love story with Red and Rit. Season 2 needs to be written off as a "why did they make this?" (2 seasons, 24 episodes.)

Flip Flappers (Yuri)

One day while heading to school, Cocona see a girl with red hair flying through the air on a hoverboard, calling her name. Completely taken aback, Cocona ignores her and heads to school. Following a path after she's done for the day, she encounters Papika, the red haired girl, who takes her to a wild and crazy place called Pure Illusion.

This is the best acid trip since The Beatles "Yellow Submarine," but in the best possible way. The colors of the art, the stories, the randomness of every encounter is truly entertaining and will keep you well engaged. This is yuri subtext and you'll be glad you've seen it when you're done (1 season, 12 episodes, HIDIVE.)

High School DxD

Perverse and boob obsessed Issei unknowingly has the power of the red dragon embedded in his arm. Much to his dismay, his first girlfriend turns out to be an archangel that kills him so he can't use it. Rias, the head of the occult club and daughter of Satan, brings him back to life and makes him one of the chess pieces in her army.

Issei stays a pervert all the way through and gets lots of boobs (aka there's a lot of nudity) and a harem of his own. Lore and battles dominate how good this show really is while still delivering with a great romance story (3 seasons, 36 episodes and multiples OVAs.)

Infinite Stratos

In a futuristic society where battle armor called Infinite Stratos exist to fight evil. The catch is that only females can pilot them. Except for Ichika, that is.

Drop a male into an all-girls school, create a harem for a completely oblivious idiot and dial the ecchiness up to 100 and you've got a pervert's delight. I honestly didn't mind season 1 as it had a story that you could connect with all the way through it. The ecchi content was dialed up to 1000 in season 2 and I dropped it because it just wasn't enjoyable for me (2 seasons, 24 episodes.)

Bloom Into You (Yuri)

Yuu Koito has fantasized about romance for a long time, wondering what it would be like to be confessed to. At her middle school graduation, a boy confesses to her and it's not anything like she imagined. Starting high school, she meets Touko, the apple of everyone's eye and the image of a perfect girl, who continually has to fend off guys. Unbeknownst to Yuu, Touko becomes a suitor she never planned on.

We have to face the fact that Touko is honestly a pretty terrible character. She's selfish and unfairly assertive to an unwilling Yuu. Sayaka, a rival that Yuu never actively set out to face - has experience with a past same sex relationships - is mean and conniving to her because she wants to be with Touko. While there's no definitive relationship confirmed between any of them, the strong yuri representation comes in the form of one of their teachers and a cafe owner (1 season, 12 episodes. You'll need to find an alternate route to watch it.)

Kokoro Connect

A group of students in a club somehow mysteriously find that they switch bodies with each other without warning. Unsure how this works at first, a mysterious man comes forward to them and explains that he's the cause.

Psychological excitement is paramount for not only the characters, but the viewers as well. The show does get pretty hardcore, so beware of intense subject matter. This is an absolute under-the-radar gem and I strongly recommend it, if you like can tolerate the psyhcological workings of it (1 season, 12 episodes. You'll need to find other means to watch this.)

Love Tyrant

When a strange girl named Guri comes knocking at Seiji Aino's door, he quickly finds himself thrust into a world of romantic troubles. She claims that she will die if he doesn't help her fill out her kiss diary and help make couples in love. Insert a yandere, a sister siscon and other magical beigns and it gets hectic.

This isn't anything special, but it gets the job done if you're looking for a quirky romcom to enjoy without much investment (1 season, 12 episodes.)

Chivalry Of A Failed Knight

Ikki Kurogane is considered a failed knight among his elite knight family. He spends his days at school honing his skills and becoming one of the best. While studinger there, he meets Stella Vermillion, a hot-headed princess who vows to become strong for her country. Despite an auspicious start, they're made to be roommates and their lovestory begins.

Stella is a tsundere and it's more than a little annoying. Ikki's sister loves her brother a little too much. The development of the cast around them and a competition that they must participate in leads to some great scenes. There is nudity, so keep that in mind if you watch it (1 season, 12 episodes.)

Whispered Words [Yuri][SUB ONLY]

Sumika and Ushio are both girls who love girls. Long in love with Ushio, Sumika suffers through Ushio's long term quest to find a "cute" girl to date. The unfortunate thing for Sumika is that she's a tall tomboy that couldn't be further from Ushio's desire.

The subtext between the two by the end is strong. The defined yuri representation comes in the form of classmates Tomoe, a girl with a strong and committed resolve and Miyako, a spoiled and bratty girl that Sumika and Ushio see sharing a kiss in a classroom after school. This is a rather entertaining watch, with several instances that just might make you laugh outloud like I did You'll need to find an alternate way to find this one as its 12 episodes aren't streaming on Crunchyroll or HIDIVE.

Mysteria Friends (Yuri)

Mysteria Academy is a prestigious magic school that teaches magic without discrimination to the three factions (men, gods, demons), who usually are engaged in battle with each other. Two of the academy's students are Anne, a princess and honor student, and Grea, a princess born from a dragon and a human.

Princess Anne is a powerful magic user who tends to be reckless when she tries to use it to benefit others. Grea is a shy girl, rarely standing out. The yuri subtext is super strong and the whole show is great. There's 1 season, but only 10 episodes half-episodes that are 12-15 minutes long.

Otherside Picnic (Yuri)

College students Sorawo and Toriko have been independently coming to the "otherside," a land of danger and complexity. They decide to team up and fight to survive, looking for Toriko's lost mentor and helping others stranded there.

A subtext yuri horror of excellent proportions. I can't recommend this enough (1 season, 12 episodes.)

The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter

Noir, the son of a low ranking noble, finds a dungeon that contains an enslaved and powerful mage, who bestows great power upon him.

This is one of those harem shows that's done right. Noir isn't an indecisive ninny and what's even better is that there is only ever one girl for him from the very beginning. They take on quests and fight monsters, eventually freeing his master and resolving many troubles around them (1 season, 12 episodes.)

Candy Boy: Nonchalant Talk of the Certain Twin Sisters in Daily Life [Yuri][SUB ONLY]

Fraternal twin sisters Yukino and Kanade have been in love with each other for nearly as long as they can remember. They experience difficulties as a couple, always working things out together as a pair.

If you can ignore the blood-related incest (it's not that hard to do), you'll find what's quite possibly the most romantic story I've ever seen.
Like many other yuri shows on this list, Candy Boy doesn't seem to be streaming anywhere. There are only seven 12-minute episodes in season 1 and 2 OVAs to follow it.

I'm In Love With The Villainess (Yuri)

Rei Ohashi is an overworked office worker that escapes into her favorite otome game every night. She dies while playing the game and is reincarnated as Rae Taylor, a commoner side character. Although not part of the storyline, she decides to chase the villainess Claire down and smother her with affection.

Rae is an awful character, I think, as she spends all but oene episode harassing Claire incessantly with her feelings of "love." The obsession rubs me the wrong way and I find it to be overbearing, but it's widely loved among the yuri community and really is one show you should watch (Crunchyroll, 12 episodes)

Kase-san and Morning Glories (Yuri)

Yui, a quiet and introverted girl that loves plants, and Tomako, a popular tomboy and the ace of the track team, are in a newly formed relationship. Despite being different in so many ways, they try to understand and support each other while experiencing the rush and exhilaration that accompanies the magic of first love.

The biggest challenge this OVA offers is jealousy and how damaging it can be. Still, the two of them provide for a decent story and realistic depiction of a young couple in love. ***There is a dub available, but I can't find it.*** This one will take an alternative route to find it.

The Familiar of Zero

Louise is a distinguished member of a noble family, who is long talented with magic, but for some reason she has no ability to perform magic, which earns her the nickname "Louise the Zero." When it comes time to summoning familiars, something goes wrong and rather than summoning a beast, she transports Saito from present-day Japan, earning her even more jeers and bullying.

This isn't overwhelmingly great, but it's not terrible, either. It's a nice watch if you'd like to see something easy and not have to invest much attention to it. Only season 1 is dubbed and not on any current streaming channel that I can find (3 seasons, 49 episodes and 2 OVAs.)

Waiting in the Summer

While testing out his camera on a bridge one summer night, Kaito Kirishima sees a blue light streaking across the sky, only to be blown off the railing seconds later. Just before succumbing to unconsciousness, a hand reaches down to grab ahold of his own. Dazed and confused, Kaito wakes up the next morning wondering how he ended up back in his own room with no apparent injuries from the night before.

The idea is somewhat original, but the story and characters aren't exactly exciting or portrayed well enough for me to say it's a must watch. As with most romances, this is another story when the best girl doesn't get the guy (1 season, 12 episodes.)

Campione

Sixteen-year-old high school student Godou Kusanagi travels to Italy at the request of his grandfather to return a particular tablet to an acquaintance for safekeeping. Godou does not expect to get drawn into a battle between two Heretic Gods alongside Erica Blandelli, a self-proclaimed witch fighting to protect people. Fortunately, he manages to defeat the god of war in mortal combat and becomes a "Campione"—or "God Slayer"—whose duty is to fight Heretic Gods to save humanity.

This didn't have a lot of anything that was really super special that knocked my socks off, but it played out nicely and I found that I enjoyed it a lot. The history of the Gods and their stories when the battles were taking place was quite fascinating (1 season, 13 episodes.)

Whisper Me A Love Song (Yuri)

Himari is a first-year high school student that is immediately obsessed with the musically gifted Yori at her opening ceremony. Yori doesn't realize that Himari's confession of her love to her is about loving her music and not her personally and falls in love at first sight.

There are a lot of issues with this show - namely the shallow characters, poor storyline and production issues that plagued it during its initial run. The emotional experiences between them are a solid depiction of a young couple in love, but that's as far as anything else that happens (HIDIVE, 1 season, 12 episodes.)

The Duke of Death and His Maid

The Duke is cursed by a witch when he's 5 years old and confined to a life of misery, causing anything living he touches to die. One day, a girl named Alice that he used to know from before he was cursed, came to serve as his maid at the villa he is confined.

This story has a lot of heart and displays the beautiful relationship between the Duke and Alice as they navigate the strong complexities his life incurs as a result of the fate he's been cursed with (3 seasons, 36 episodes.)

Dealing With Mikadono Sisters Is A Breeze

Yu is the son of an actress with no discernible talent of his own. When she passes away, a man accepts him into his family and he has to learn how to deal with the three idols of his school, the Mikadono sisters.

This is probably the best rom-com in the last year. Yu is caring and loving and truly wants to find happiness for himself and the sisters, who aren't treated as human beings by their father. Their constant interaction with him and each other is a joy to watch (1 season, 12 episodes.)

Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion

When Rinka is mysteriously pushed off a balcony, she awakes as a side character named Raeliana who was in a book she had read. Doomed to die at her fiance's hand, she blackmails the Duke into taking his place.

This show has a lot to offer, but for some reason I didn't connect with it like I had hoped. For some reason, it seemed like something was incomplete. Still, if you like romances, this is definitely one to watch (1 season, 12 episodes.)

Li'l Miss Vampire Can't Suck Right [SUB ONLY]

Luna Ishikawa is a timid vampire girl that struggles to fit in with others, so she hides herself away. One day, the principal of a nearby school convinces her to come to school and her popularity blossoms. She befriends Otori, a boy that sits next to her, who offers to help her with one thing that she's terrible at - sucking blood!

This is my favorite show of the Fall 2025 season by a longshot and probably the first show I've seen in a year that will go on my rewatch list. It's cute and funny and all of the characters shine in their respective roles (1 season, 12 episodes.)

There's No Freaking Way I'll be Your Lover! Unless...[Yuri][SUB ONLY]

Renako was a shut-in that never interacted with anyone during middle school and decided she wasn't going to let high school be a repeat of that. On the first day, she approaches Mai, the super popular model, and became part of her friend group. Little did she know that this was going to be way more than what she bargained for.

There's a lot of drama here, but the overarcing story is solid and watching Renako develop into a better and stronger person is a nice reward (1 season, 12 episodes and one 5-episode OVA.)

Pass the Monster Meat, Milady!

Melphira, known as the Voracious Villainess for her desire to eat monster meat, meet the Duke of Galbreath at a party. The Duke is rapidly impressed with her and her desire to continue her mother's work of making monster meat edible for those in need and soon asks for her hand in marriage.

Melphy is sweet and funny and the Duke is a genuinely good guy with a good head on his shoulders. There aren't many weaknesses in this, just a good romance story (1 season, 12 episodes.)

Mysterious Girlfriend X (HIDIVE)

The mysterious Mikoto Urabe transfers into Akira Tsubaki's class. Her unique behavior and odd appearance quickly draw a negative impression. After forgetting his lunch box at the end of the day, Tusbaki returns to the classroom to find Urabe asleep. He wakes her up and realizes after he leaves that she left drool on her desk, which he feels compelled to taste. Afterward, he becomes ill and finds that the reason isn't what he thinks it is.

Once I got over the whole regular drool swapping, I rather enjoyed this, maybe more than what I think I should have. There's a good story at the core and the voice acting is done well. It's worth a shot (1 season, 13 episodes, 1 OVA.)
