Kanojo ga Koushaku-tei ni Itta Riyuu

When, after her sudden death, Rinko Hanasaki is reborn as Raeliana McMillan, she is not sure whether to curse her luck. Raeliana was a minor character in a novel Rinko read, and as the eldest daughter of a nouveau-riche baron, she led a carefree life until her unfortunate demise at the hands of her fiancé, Lord Francis Brooks. To avoid her destined fate, Raeliana is determined to end her engagement with Francis.

However, when Francis refuses to break things off, Raeliana decides to seek help from someone of higher standing and approaches Duke Noah Wynknight—the novel's male protagonist. Using her knowledge of the plot, Raeliana captures the duke's interest by proposing a deal: she will not expose his secrets if Noah agrees to act as her fiancé. Little does she know that getting involved with a duke who only shows his true colors around her may lead to more than she bargained for.

The story begins and follows a similar path seen in multiple other other anime, it is an Isekai, but beyond that the story follows the the main character who upon reincarnated into a story she had read in her life back in Japan she must prevent her own death to survive using the outside knowledge of the story. The show maintains a suspenseful tone through the first season, that will keep the viewer wanting to watch just one more episode. This show's characters do manage to keep you invested in their development and invested into the story's future. There were aspects throughout ... the show that were quite predictable, but that would be in part due to the heavy use of foreshadowing of events to play out.

The art style is what someone would come to expect from the seasonal anime we have been getting for the past few years, some scenes had a series of frames that were better than expected, but as a whole solid animation.

Mixed Feelings

I like the story and the close up art. The story itself is like any isekaid anime but it's my first time watching someone that get isekaid have family.

The art is fitting for this anime, in some scene the art is really beautiful and just captivating, some close up shot is beautiful enough to be a wallpaper.

I feel like the protagonist have that usual protagonist stuff, the naive, always see good in people but she also have the realistic thoughts once in a while that is refreshing to see.

But when it come to the animations especially when they do a wide shot on the ... movement it's kinda wonky. For the first episode you would probably notice some movement that looked weird and then as the episode grow you noticed it even more. If you like a well animated anime you probably wouldn't like this but if you can handle a few wonky scene here and there I think you would enjoy it.

Overall, this story doesn't do much different than you'd expect of these type of isekai. She must change her game character's fate, and due to that different parts of the story change. There was some interesting points in how she got isekai'd and the ramifications of taking over another person's body, but my biggest problem with this show was the male lead.

They rally push the "bad boy" angle here, and the main character being a "tsundere". She pretend to not actually like him, and he constantly does bad things to her in the vein of just "messing" with here, but it's okay since he's hot. ... Anyway, the plot did get interesting enough by the end I would probably watch another season, but it's probably not getting one. The relationship with the male lead was just too unbearable for me to really recommend this though.
