‣ Raw talent isn't always enough—you need the right person to believe in you. Medalist pairs a late-starting prodigy with a coach chasing his own second chance, turning competitive figure skating into an emotional, hard-earned climb. It's less about winning medals and more about persistence, trust, and the cost of chasing a dream.

‣ Apocalypse Hotel is not your ordinary post-apocalyptic slice-of-life hotel anime. Throughout the series, you may find yourself questioning whether it is truly a hotel-themed anime at all. With its heartwarming soundtrack and breathtaking visuals, Apocalypse Hotel feels warm, hilarious, exciting, empty, sad, mysterious, and beautiful all at the same time.

‣ 2025 is truly the year of Umamusume revolution from game to anime. While the game is global phenomenon the anime airing Cinderella Grey took a vastly different approach.
A story about a country (horse)girl who just love running discovering her passion and a dream. Her journey Kasamatsu to Tokyo is truly captivating. Off track a silly glutton but on field a beast. But the story is also just not about. Her rivals and friends has also amazing stories on their own. Each of them justifying their own role as Cinderella.
Note: Part I & II were aired in the same year.

‣ The first installment of the movie trilogy, specifically created to conclude the Kimetsu no Yaiba anime adaptation. Featuring breathtaking large-scale battles, emotionally charged character moments, backstories rich in content, and ufotable's signature high-end production values that mix digital 2D and CGI techniques, this film sets the stage for the endgame of one of the most successful shounen franchises in history; the franchise that has become a global phenomenon that dominated both television and theatrical releases. What is more, the first movie of this trilogy broke multiple box-office records and, as of 2025, became the highest-grossing anime film of all time. It's also (as of 2025) on the 5th place in the highest-grossing films that are not primarily in English language.

‣ Watanare follows Amaori Renako, an introvert girl who tries to reinvent herself for a true high school experience by being more lively, only to accidentally become the most sought‑after limited‑edition Yuri collectible. Instead of gaining normal friendships, she’s suddenly drowning in girls having crushes on her she never ordered, like she walked into school and triggered a hidden romance‑route speedrun. Watching her panic‑navigate this accidental harem is exactly the kind of delightful chaos Yuri lovers devour.

‣ Dr. Stone that has grown on me all the way: I started considering season 1 average, then, by the next seasons, it became one of the most entertaining animes to watch, albeit not too much more than that. Now, by this most recent season, characters have developed to an unbelievable point of complexity and likability (especially Suika, but I'll only say that so I don't spoil anything), the story is very compelling, its themes never stop giving us food for thought and yet the humor and lightheartedness are still a benchmark from the show.
Note: Part I & II were aired in the same year.

I know what you're thinking: "why is some random harem show in the best of 2025 list?" and I would've been confused too before I saw it. But it is surprisingly thoughtful and has something to say, using the (titular) prodigious Mikadono Sisters, the "failed prodigy" MC, and even some of the side characters to tell a well-rounded story about what it means to be a prodigy, sacrifices and all. Usually, for harems (see: Rent-a-Girlfriend, Hokkaido Gals, even Quints), my engagement either comes from an outside element or one of the waifus but I'm not even all that attracted to any of the Mikadono Sisters and I was still hooked.

‣ It's interesting to note that the author made this story in mind with the challenge to make everyone kind to each other. While it can be overbearing at times, there's a certain element to its delicateness that makes everything sweet and intentionally conveyed. Cloverworks does a great job with its production and really elevated the source material.
