Most of the source material for these shows are romance fantasy manhwa or otome-isekai manga. Usually featuring any mix of reincarnation, royalty, nobility, otome games, and isekai as well as a (typically) girlboss main character.

The list is ordered into different sections:

I will say, my favorite villainess/romance fantasy/otome-isekai manhwas have yet to receive their own anime adaptations, so if you really want to experience the best of the best, please explore rofan manhwas! But I hope this list helps you find more shows to watch!!

This stack provides upcoming anime from MangaUP that aired in 2026.

9 times out of 10 it's not tagged because the source material was a light novel or video game (even otome games), with the other time being the mistaken misbelief that BL and GL don't get published in Shojo and Josei imprints. This happens even when said light novels are published under an explicitly shojo/josei light novel imprint (eg Kadokawa Beans Bunko, B's Log Bunko, Kadokawa Ruby bunko, Ichijinsha bunko Iris, Cobalt bunko, Kodansha x White Heart bunko, Fujimi Ladies bunko, etc). *** This is the continuation of my other 2nd chance, shoujo based interest stack.

Stories that involve isekai, reincarnation, second chances, or introductions to a new world in life.

Maybe it's a villainess trying to change her ways? Or an office worker trying to live a better life in a fantasy world? Or maybe circumstances force a character to change their entire way of life? Either way, these stories all have similar feelings and beats.
