This is book 1 of 6 in The Curse of Raven’s Cliff series so some plotlines are left hanging and unsolved to continue throughout the series. I really enjoyed this book and thought it was a great start to the series. I loved the small town of Raven’s Cliff. The town supposedly has a curse on it and it’s also filled with a lot of interesting and suspicious inhabitants. The atmosphere of the story was vivid in detail with the cliffs, the crashing waves, the fog, the old lighthouse, and the sense of foreboding in the air. An entertaining romantic suspense story. I’m looking forward to finding out more answers in the upcoming books....more

Danny’s divorced parents decide to take him there for Christmas. Danny is hoping that this trip will get his parents back together again. It was impossible not to love Danny in this book. He was such a brave little boy and he was always looking on the bright side. The romance in this story with his divorced parents didn’t really interest me and I found a little boring. The best parts of the book were the parts that included Danny, and I enjoyed the cross country road trip in the motor home to the Grand Canyon. A sweet and sad story....more
Thoroughly entertaining romantic suspense story. Savannah Sinclair does ghost walks pretending to be her murdered sister’s ghost. Savannah's sister, SThoroughly entertaining romantic suspense story. Savannah Sinclair does ghost walks pretending to be her murdered sister’s ghost. Savannah's sister, Shelly, was murdered two years ago and her killer was never caught. Savannah's ghost walks are a way of keeping her sister's memory alive since she feels that Shelly has been forgotten about. After Savannah is attacked one day and almost killed on another day, sexy lawman Deputy Josh Griffin vows to keep Savannah safe until the perpetrator is caught. Josh is in love with Savannah but Savannah doesn't want to get close to anyone since she has gotten used to her solitary existence and fears she won't be able to handle losing anyone else that she loves. I really liked both Savannah and Josh. I thought the setting was great and provided a good atmosphere in the small swamp town of Lost Lagoon, Mississippi. And I loved the secret network of tunnels that were hidden underneath the town. The mystery of Savannah’s attacker is solved in this book, but her sister Shelly’s murderer is still unknown at the end, to be solved in the next book....more

He left two years ago when he was the number one (and only) suspect in his girlfriend Shelly's murder, although he was never charged because of lack of evidence. Teacher Claire Silver has always believed in Bo's innocence, and she convinces Bo to remain in Lost Lagoon long enough to finally prove his innocence and to find the real killer. Claire has a secret admirer who may also be a deadly killer when attempts are made on her life during the course of her and Bo's investigation. Bo vows to protect Claire, and decides that seeking out the identity of her secret admirer takes precedence over his own investigation.
Very good and fast-paced story, with a likable lead couple with great chemistry. Nice small-town atmosphere, which provided a lot of suspicious characters who could be responsible for the crimes being committed in town. Although two mysteries ran throughout this story, only the one involving Claire's secret admirer was solved. It was disappointing not finding out Shelly's murderer, but after doing some research, it looks like there will be two follow-up "Scene of the Crime" books to this one. "The Deputy's Proof" which features Shelly's sister Savannah, and "Who Killed Shelly Sinclair?" which should solve Shelly's murder....more
