Scene of the Crime: Killer Cove (Scene of the Crime #10)

Bo McBride returns to his hometown of Lost Lagoon, Mississippi, when his mother dies. He left two years ago when he was the number one (and only) suspect in his girlfriend Shelly's murder, although he was never charged because of lack of evidence. Teacher Claire Silver has always believed in Bo's innocence, and she convinces Bo to remain in Lost Lagoon long enough to finally prove his innocence and to find the real killer. Claire has a secret admirer who may also be a deadly killer when attempts are made on her life during the course of her and Bo's investigation. Bo vows to protect Claire, and decides that seeking out the identity of her secret admirer takes precedence over his own investigation.
Very good and fast-paced story, with a likable lead couple with great chemistry. Nice small-town atmosphere, which provided a lot of suspicious characters who could be responsible for the crimes being committed in town. Although two mysteries ran throughout this story, only the one involving Claire's secret admirer was solved. It was disappointing not finding out Shelly's murderer, but after doing some research, it looks like there will be two follow-up "Scene of the Crime" books to this one. "The Deputy's Proof" which features Shelly's sister Savannah, and "Who Killed Shelly Sinclair?" which should solve Shelly's murder.
