In January 2024, I invited other readers to join me in a special adventure,
where you basically let books lead the way to other books.
If you want to join us, check this post, and/or send me your questions.
NB: this adventure is NOT limited to 2024!
Last week, I posted my 2025 chain recap.
I decided to create a page for my 2026 chain, that I’ll update as I go.

1. Call for the Dead (George Smiley #1), by John Le Carré
Why this book?
Because I ended my 2025 chain with The Winter of Our Discontent, by John Steinbeck.
The link to next book was: published the same year (1961).
See #4 in the Connections Reading Challenge
MY VERDICT:
The suspicious suicide pulled me in. And I found Smiley’s character captivating.
My full review will be live on April 14, 2026, during The 1961 Club
Link to next book: same number of pages (144 pages).
