Party Bangers 2024: Pop Edition

As 2024 winds down, one thing is for sure: pop-adjacent music had a banner year. There has been no shortage of earworm hooks often over pulsing beats, dynamic production and infectious grooves. Hyperpop, electronica, Latin rhythms and house music elements loomed large this year in the pop-o-sphere.

Innovators such as Tinashe, Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish helped shape the sounds of 2024. These iconic artists returned with party-ready tracks that had audiences around the globe playing them on repeat. Chappell Roan’s meteoric rise featured perpetual sing-alongs and epic festival appearances. The Weeknd’s collaborations with Anitta and Playboi Carti were omnipresent, while Sabrina Carpenter’s endlessly catchy hooks will remain stuck in your ears for years to come. And then there was Charli XCX’s ‘Brat’ movement, which spawned not just a wide range of pop bangers, but an attitude and vibe that still permeates the culture. From Tinashe’s “Nasty” to Charli’s “360,” from The Weeknd and Anitta’s “São Paulo” to Dua Lipa’s “Houdini,” get lost in the pop tunes that defined the year.
