Le procédé consiste à : enregistrer une unité de trafic préétablie dans un fichier de livre électronique et une dépense correspondant à l'unité de trafic (S101) ; enregistrer un compte de dépôt associé à un compte d'utilisateur (S102) ; détecter un trafic reçu par un utilisateur (S103) ; lorsque le trafic reçu par l'utilisateur est une unité de trafic, soustraire une dépense correspondant à l'unité de trafic courante au compte de dépôt (S104) ; déterminer si un solde du compte de dépôt est ou non supérieur à une dépense correspondant à une unité de trafic suivante (S105) ; si tel est le cas, continuer de transmettre le fichier de livre électronique (S106) ; et autrement, arrêter de transmettre le fichier de livre électronique (S107). Au moyen du procédé, selon un aspect, un utilisateur peut payer une dépense selon un trafic réellement utilisé de l'utilisateur, ce qui permet d'améliorer la précision de paiement de dépense ; selon un autre aspect, un fournisseur de contenu est aidé pour commander le degré de transmission d'un livre électronique selon un solde de dépôt de l'utilisateur.
