Abstract

 排気管の途中に排気ガス3中のパティキュレートを捕集するパティキュレートフィルタ5を備えると共に、パティキュレートフィルタ5の下流側に酸素共存下でも選択的にNOxをアンモニアと反応させ得る選択還元型触媒6を備え、選択還元型触媒6とパティキュレートフィルタ5との間に還元剤として尿素水を添加し得る尿素水添加手段12を配置した排気浄化装置であって、尿素水添加手段12から選択還元型触媒6へ排気ガス3を導入する流路の間には、少なくとも1つ以上の曲部13,14を形成する。
