Abstract
本発明の課題は、尿素水からアンモニアが生成されるのに十分な反応時間を確保しながらもパティキュレートフィルタ5及び選択還元型触媒6のコンパクトな配置を実現して車両への搭載性を向上することにある。パティキュレートフィルタ5と、酸素共存下でも選択的にNOxをアンモニアと反応させ得る選択還元型触媒6とを排気管4の途中に備え、夫々の間に還元剤として尿素水を添加し得るように構成した排気浄化装置に関し、車両のフレーム10に沿わせてパティキュレートフィルタ5を車両前後方向に配置すると共に、該パティキュレートフィルタ5の入側端部付近で車幅方向外側に向けて選択還元型触媒6を配置し、パティキュレートフィルタ5の出側端部から排出された排気ガス3を前方に折り返して選択還元型触媒6の入側端部に導入する連絡流路9を設け、該連絡流路9の途中に尿素水を添加するための尿素水添加用インジェクタ11(尿素水添加手段)を備える。
