Abstract

 高容量化のために集電体上の負極材料を有する活物質層を高密度化しても、初期サイクル時の充放電不可逆容量の十分小さい非水系二次電池を提供することを課題とし、球状黒鉛粒子とバインダー黒鉛とが複合化したものであって、該複合黒鉛粒子が、少なくとも次の要件(a)~(g)よりなる群から選ばれる何れかを満たす非水系二次電池用複合黒鉛粒子により課題を解決した。 (a)その表面に、該球状黒鉛粒子の少なくとも一部が露出している複合黒鉛粒子を含有する。(b)その表面近傍に、該球状黒鉛粒子の不完全な積層構造を有する複合黒鉛粒子を含有する。(c)該球状黒鉛粒子のメジアン径をaとし、該複合黒鉛粒子のメジアン径をbとしたとき、その比c=a/bが0.93以上である。(d)そのラマンR値が0.15~0.25、平均円形度が0.85以上、タップ密度が0.87~1.25g/cm3、BET比表面積が2.5~8m2/gである。(e)水銀ポロシメーターで測定された0.01~2μmの細孔容積が0.05~1mL/gである。(f)BET比表面積で規格化した表面に存在するCO基の量が、1.15~5μmol/m2である。(g)該複合黒鉛粒子を用いて得られた電極に、特定の電解液を滴下させた時に、該電解液が電極上から完全に消失するまでの時間の平均値が180秒以下である。
