Abstract

 正極活物質層に含有される正極活物質全量の80重量%以上を一次粒子の形態とし、さらに、一次粒子の表面に導電性被覆層を設ける。これにより、正極活物質層における導電剤含有量を大きく増加させることなく、充放電の繰返しに伴う活物質自体の崩壊およびこれに伴う活物質層の体積変化が十分に抑制される。特に、正極活物質粒子の一部が正極活物質中の導電ネットワークから孤立しないようにする。その結果、一次粒子間で強固に形成された導電ネットワークが保たれるので、出力特性と寿命特性とを高次に両立でき、電池の高出力化および長寿命化が達成される。
