Description
CS≒(CS×DOL)/(厚さ-(2×DOL)) (1)
によりCT値に関連付けられ、式中、厚さは強化ガラス基板の全厚である。特に明記のない限り、CTおよびCSは、ここではメガパスカル(MPa)で表されるのに対し、厚さおよびDOLはミリメートルまたはマイクロメートルで表される。特に明記のない限り、CS値は、表面で測定された値であり、CT値は引張応力値(式1により決定されるような)である。ここに与えられるCS値およびCT値は、絶対値として与えられる。
方法において、
ダイを使用して、平らなガラス基板を非平面形状に冷間成形する工程、および
前記ダイを使用して、複数の非平面地点で、冷間成形された前記ガラス基板を非平面剛性支持構造に結合する工程、
を有してなる方法。
前記ダイが射出成形用ダイであり、
前記結合する工程が、前記ダイが、冷間成形された前記ガラス基板を前記非平面形状に保持している間に、該冷間成形されたガラス基板上に前記非平面剛性支持構造を射出成形することによって行われる、
実施形態1に記載の方法。
前記非平面剛性支持構造が、前記結合する工程の前に形成され、
該結合する工程が、前記ダイを使用して、前記非平面剛性支持構造上に冷間成形された前記ガラス基板を直接結合する工程を含む、
実施形態1に記載の方法。
前記結合する工程の前に、前記非平面剛性支持構造を前記ダイの凹部内に配置する工程をさらに含む、実施形態3に記載の方法。
前記結合する工程の前に、前記非平面剛性支持構造および前記平らなガラス基板の少なくとも一方に接着剤を施す工程をさらに含む、実施形態3または4に記載の方法。
前記結合する工程の後、冷間成形された前記ガラス基板と前記非平面剛性支持構造との間の界面のエッジに接着剤を施す工程をさらに含む、実施形態1から5いずれか1つに記載の方法。
前記冷間成形する工程の前に、前記平らなガラス基板にコーティングを施す工程をさらに含む、実施形態1から6いずれか1つに記載の方法。
前記コーティングがインクコーティングである、実施形態7に記載の方法。
前記コーティングが反射防止コーティングである、実施形態7に記載の方法。
冷間成形された前記ガラス基板が、前記非平面剛性支持構造に結合された後、該非平面剛性支持構造と直接接触していない開口領域を含み、該開口領域が、該非平面剛性支持構造によって維持された湾曲形状を有する、実施形態1から9いずれか1つに記載の方法。
前記冷間成形されたガラス基板および前記非平面剛性支持構造の少なくとも一方にディスプレイを、該ディスプレイが該冷間成形されたガラス基板の前記開口領域を通じて目に見えるように取り付ける工程をさらに含む、実施形態10に記載の方法。
前記冷間成形する工程の最中または後に、前記ガラス基板の温度が800°F(約427℃)を超えない、実施形態1から11いずれか1つに記載の方法。
前記ガラス基板が強化ガラスからなる、実施形態1から12いずれか1つに記載の方法。
冷間成形され前記たガラス基板が互いに反対の主面を有し、一方の主面に、前記非平面剛性支持構造がない、実施形態1から13いずれか1つに記載の方法。
物品において、
非平面形状並びに第1の主面および反対の第2の主面であって、互いに異なる表面圧縮応力を有する第1と第2の主面を含む冷間成形されたガラス基板と;
複数の非平面地点で前記第1の主面に結合された非平面剛性支持構造と;
を備えた物品。
前記非平面剛性支持構造が、前記冷間成形されたガラス基板が前記非平面形状を含んでいる間に、該冷間成形されたガラス基板上に射出成形される、実施形態15に記載の物品。
前記冷間成形されたガラス基板が、前記第1の主面と反対の第2の主面を有し、該第2の主面がコーティングまたは表面処理を含む、実施形態15に記載の物品。
前記冷間成形されたガラス基板と前記非平面剛性支持構造との間に界面のエッジに施されたエッジ接着剤をさらに備える、実施形態15から17いずれか1つに記載の物品。
前記冷間成形されたガラス基板が、前記非平面剛性支持構造と直接接触していない開口領域を含み、該開口領域は、該非平面剛性支持構造により維持された湾曲形状を有する、実施形態15から18いずれか1つに記載の物品。
前記冷間成形されたガラス基板および前記非平面剛性支持構造の少なくとも一方に取り付けられたディスプレイをさらに備え、該ディスプレイは該冷間成形されたガラス基板を通じて目に見える、実施形態19に記載の物品。

前記ガラス基板は、非平面の前記剛性支持構造と直接接触していない開口領域を含み、該開口領域は、該非平面剛性支持構造により維持された湾曲形状を有する、物品。
複雑な展開可能な表面を有する非平面剛性支持構造と;
前記非平面剛性支持構造に結合された冷間成形されたガラス基板であって、前記複雑な展開可能な表面を有する冷間成形されたガラス基板と;
を備えた物品。
前記ガラス基板および前記非平面剛性支持構造の少なくとも一方に取り付けられたディスプレイをさらに備え、該ディスプレイは該ガラス基板の開口領域を通じて目に見える、実施形態24または25に記載の物品。
前記ガラス基板上に配置されたコーティングをさらに備える、実施形態24から26いずれか1つに記載の物品。
前記コーティングがインクコーティングである、実施形態27に記載の物品。
前記コーティングが反射防止コーティングである、実施形態27に記載の物品。

Claims (7)
- 方法において、
ダイを使用して、平らなガラス基板の表面を非平面形状に冷間成形する工程、および
前記ダイを使用して、複数の非平面地点で、冷間成形された前記ガラス基板を非平面剛性支持構造に結合する工程、および
デイスプレイを、該デイスプレイが前記冷間成形されたガラス基板通じて目に見えるように、前記冷間成形されたガラス基板の表面に積層する工程、
を有してなり、
前記ダイは直接結合用ダイであり、
前記冷間成形されたガラス基板の表面は、前記非平面剛性支持構造と直接接触していないとともに前記非平面剛性支持構造により覆われていない、開口領域を有し、
前記開口領域は、前記非平面剛性支持構造の内側エッジにより境界を定められており、
前記開口領域は、前記非平面剛性支持構造により維持されている湾曲形状を有し、
前記デイスプレイは、前記非平面剛性支持構造の前記内側エッジ内の前記開口領域に積層されており、
前記結合する工程は、前記冷間成形されたガラス基板と前記非平面剛性支持構造との間の界面に接着剤を施すことによって行われる、方法。 - 前記デイスプレイは、前記非平面剛性支持構造により覆われていない、請求項1記載の方法。
- 物品において、
非平面形状並びに第1の主面および反対の第2の主面を含む冷間成形されたガラス基板と;
複数の非平面地点で前記第1の主面に直接結合された非平面剛性支持構造と;
前記冷間成形されたガラス基板の前記第1の主面に直接積層されたデイスプレイと;
を備え、
前記冷間成形されたガラス基板の第1の主面は、前記非平面剛性支持構造と直接接触していないとともに前記非平面剛性支持構造により覆われていない、開口領域を有し、
前記開口領域は、前記非平面剛性支持構造の内側エッジにより境界を定められており、
前記開口領域は、前記非平面剛性支持構造により維持されている湾曲形状を有し、
前記デイスプレイは、前記非平面剛性支持構造の前記内側エッジ内の前記開口領域に直接積層されている、物品。 - 前記デイスプレイは、前記非平面剛性支持構造により覆われていない、請求項3記載の物品。
- 前記冷間成形されたガラス基板の前記開口領域は第1の非平面湾曲を有し、前記デイスプレイは前記第1の非平面湾曲と適合する第2の非平面湾曲を有する、請求項3記載の物品。
- 前記非平面剛性支持構造が、乗り物の内装のダッシュボード、乗り物の内装のセンターコンソール、乗り物の内装の計器パネル、乗り物の内装のシートバック、乗り物の内装の床板、乗り物の内装のドアパネル、乗り物の内装のピラー、および乗り物の内装のアームレストのうちの少なくとも1つに取り付けられている、請求項3記載の物品。
- 前記冷間成形されたガラス基板は前記第1の主面と前記第2の主面との間の距離として規定される厚さを有し、前記厚さが2mm未満である、請求項3記載の物品。
