Abstract

ロケーション・サーバが、インスタント・メッセージングを介して、あるいはマルチメディア・セッションがすでに確立されている場合は既存のＳＩＰセッションを介して、ユーザ・プレーン可能デバイスに対してユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス（例えば、ＯＭＡによって定義されたＳＵＰＬ）のプロシージャを開始できるようにした方法および方式。ロケーション要求は、ユーザ・プレーン可能発呼者デバイスにＳＩＰ ＩＮＦＯメッセージを介して通知される。ロケーション要求は、ＳＩＰメーセージングを使用して、ファイヤウォールおよび他のネットワーク・セキュリティ問題を克服する。ＳＵＰＬをＳＩＰを介して使用する位置特定は、Ｅ９１１緊急呼を掛ける発呼者について行うことができる。インスタント・メッセージは、ユーザ・プレーン可能デバイス、例えば、ＶｏＩＰ無線電話機に送信できる。

Description

本出願は、「Ｕｓｅｒ Ｐｌａｎｅ Ｌｏｃａｔｉｏｎ Ｓｅｒｖｉｃｅ ｏｖｅｒ Ｓｅｓｓｉｏｎ Ｉｎｉｔｉａｔｉｏｎ Ｐｒｏｔｏｃｏｌ（ＳＩＰ）」という名称で２００６年１１月２８日に出願した米国仮出願第６０／８６１２６７号の優先権を主張するものであり、該仮出願の全体を参照により明確に本明細書に援用するものとする。
本発明は、概して無線および長距離通信事業者、インターネット・サービス・プロバイダ（ＩＳＰ）ならびに情報コンテンツ配信サービス／プロバイダおよび長距離通信事業者に関する。より詳細には、本発明は、無線業界用のロケーション・サービスに関する。
加入者に関するロケーション情報は、無線ネットワークにおいて用途がますます拡大している。ロケーション情報は、無線デバイスの絶対座標に関する。
図４は、従来のロケーション・サービス（ＬｏＣａｔｉｏｎ Ｓｅｒｖｉｃｅｓ）（ＬＣＳ）の要求を示している。
特に、図４に示されているように、ロケーション・サーバ１０６は、特定の移動体加入者（ＭＳ）に関するロケーション情報をコア・ネットワーク・ノード、例えば、移動体切り替えセンタ（ＭＳＣ）１１０に要求する。特定の無線デバイス（ＭＳ）に関する要求された情報は、例えば、接続、切り離し、およびロケーション・エリア更新を含むことができる。ロケーション・サーバ１０６は、無線デバイスに関する、接続、切り離し、および／またはロケーション・エリア更新などの情報をパケット・データ・ノード（例えば、ＳＧＳＮ、ＧＧＳＮまたはＰＤＳＮ）に要求することもできるし、またはデバイスがｘ／ｙ方向を計算するのを助けることもできる。典型的には、特定の無線デバイスに関するロケーション情報は、ホーム・ロケーション・レジスタ（ＨＬＲ）に要求される。
図４のステップ１に示されているように、ロケーション・サービス・クライアント１０４がメッセージをロケーション・サーバ１０６に送信する。
ステップ２で、ロケーション・サーバ１０６が「加入者情報を供給する」メッセージをホーム・ロケーション・レジスタ１０８に送信し、特定の加入者に関する加入者情報を要求する。
ステップ３で、通信事業者のホーム・ロケーション・レジスタ（ＨＬＲ）１０８が、要求された加入者の加入者情報をロケーション・サーバ１０６に返す。

Ｓｅｃｕｒｅ Ｕｓｅｒ Ｐｌａｎｅ ｆｏｒ Ｌｏｃａｔｉｏｎ（ＳＵＰＬ）は、例えば、図４のステップ１に示されているように、移動体ハンドセット・クライアントがロケーション・サーバと通信できるようにするために開発された標準ベースのプロトコルである。ＳＵＰＬ仕様は、Ｏｐｅｎ Ｍｏｂｉｌｅ Ａｌｌｉａｎｃｅ（ＯＭＡ）標準ワーキング・グループによって定義されている。ＯＭＡ ＳＵＰＬ呼フローについてさらに詳しくは、ＯＭＡ Ｓｅｃｕｒｅ Ｕｓｅｒ Ｐｌａｎｅ Ｌｏｃａｔｉｏｎ Ａｒｃｈｉｔｅｃｔｕｒｅ文書、ＯＭＡ−ＡＤ−ＳＵＰＬ−Ｖ１＿０−２００６０１２７−Ｃを参照されたい。さらに、ＯＭＡ Ｕｓｅｒ Ｐｌａｎｅ Ｌｏｃａｔｉｏｎ Ｐｒｏｔｏｃｏｌ文書、ＯＭＡ−ＴＳ−ＵＬＰ−Ｖ１＿０−２００６０１２７−Ｃを参照されたい。ＯＭＡ ＳＵＰＬバージョン１は、次の２つの基本タイプの呼フローを規定している。すなわち、（１）ＳＵＰＬネットワーク開始（ＮＩ）の呼フロー、および（２）ＳＵＰＬ ｓｅｔ開始（ＳＩ）の呼フローである。ＳＵＰＬ標準によれば、セッションＩＤは、サーバ部分とハンドセット部分からなる固有の値を有する。
図５は、ＳＵＰＬエージェントによって開始されたＳＵＰＬロケーション要求の一般的なＯＭＡ移動体終了の呼フローを示している。
特に、図５に示されているように、メッセージが、ネットワーク内に置かれているＳＵＰＬエージェント８０２、ｓｅｔ参照サーバ８０４、ＳＵＰＬサーバ８０６、ＰＰＧ ８０８、およびＳＵＰＬ端末（ＳＥＴ）８１２の間で受け渡しされる。
ＳＵＰＬサーバ（またはＳＵＰＬロケーション・プラットフォーム（ＳＬＰ））８０６は、ＳＵＰＬロケーション・センタ（ＳＬＣ）およびＳＵＰＬ測位センタ（ＳＰＣ）を備えている。移動体デバイスは、図５では、ＳＵＰＬ可能端末（ＳＥＴ）８１２として一般化されている。ＳＬＣは、ネットワーク内のＳＵＰＬ通信の動作を調整（ｃｏｏｒｄｉｎａｔｅ）し、ＳＰＣ構成要素を制御する。ＳＰＣは、全地球測位システム（ＧＰＳ）のアシスト・データをＳＵＰＬ可能端末（ＳＥＴ）８１２に供給し、ＳＥＴ ８１２の正確な位置計算を行う。

ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービスの従来の使い方が機能しない、または良く機能しないシナリオがいくつかある。
例えば、ターゲット・デバイスがＷＬＡＮ、ＬＡＮまたはＤＳＬを介してインターネットにアクセスする一シナリオでは、ロケーション・サーバがＳＭＳまたはＷＡＰプッシュを使用して位置特定を開始できないことがある。これは、特に、ロケーション・サーバがターゲット・デバイスのＩＰアドレスを判定できなくて、ターゲット・デバイスが接続されているネットワークが、ＳＭＳまたはＷＡＰプッシュ・メッセージングとの正しいインターワーキングをサポートしない場合に当てはまる。

セッション開始プロトコル（ＳＩＰ）は、映像、音声、チャット、ゲーム、仮想現実などのマルチメディア要素が関与する対話式ユーザ・セッションを開始するためのインターネット技術タスク・フォース（Ｉｎｔｅｒｎｅｔ Ｅｎｇｉｎｅｅｒｉｎｇ Ｔａｓｋ Ｆｏｒｃｅ）（ＩＥＴＦ）標準のプロトコルである。ＳＩＰは、ＩＥＴＦ Ｒｅｑｕｅｓｔ ｆｏｒ Ｃｏｍｍｅｎｔｓ（ＲＦＣ）２５４３で規定されている。ＨＴＴＰまたはＳＭＰＴと同様に、ＳＩＰは、開放型システム間相互接続（ｏｐｅｎ ｓｙｓｔｅｍｓ ｉｎｔｅｒｃｏｎｎｅｃｔｉｏｎ）（ＯＳＩ）通信モデルのアプリケーション層で機能する。また、ＳＩＰは、必ずしもイニシエータが関与しないセッションへ参加者を招待するためにも使用できる。ＳＩＰは名前マッピングおよび宛先変更サービスをサポートするので、ユーザが任意の位置から通信およびサービスを開始および受信することが可能であり、ネットワークが、ユーザがどこにいようとも、そのユーザを識別することが可能である。ＳＩＰは、クライアントからの要求およびサーバからの応答に対処する要求・応答プロトコルである。参加者は、ＳＩＰ汎用資源位置指定子（ｕｎｉｖｅｒｓａｌ ｒｅｓｏｕｒｃｅ ｌｏｃａｔｏｒ）（ＵＲＬ）によって識別される。要求は、ＵＤＰ、ＳＣＴＰ、またはＴＣＰなどの任意のトランスポート・プロトコルで送信できる。ＳＩＰは、セッションに使用されるエンド・システム、通信媒体および媒体パートナー、および通信を行うかの着呼者の希望を判定する。これらが確認されたら、ＳＩＰは通信のどちらの側にも呼パラメータを確立し、呼の転送および終了を行う。
図１は、ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービスがトランスポートとしてＳＩＰベースの信号方式を使用する、本発明の原理によるハイレベル・メッセージ・フローを示している。
特に、図１に示されているように、一般的なサービスの説明は次のようになる。
図１のステップ１で、ロケーション・サービス可能デバイス２００が、固定回線アクセス（例えば、ダイアルアップ、ＤＳＬ、ケーブルまたはＬＡＮ）を介した、または以下の手法（ただし、限定ではない）の１つを使用した無線アクセスを介した、インターネット・サービス・アクセス・プロバイダ２０２からのインターネット・アクセスを正常に許可している。無線アクセスに使用される手法には、ＩＥＥＥ ８０２．１１ｘに基づいて構築された無線ＬＡＮ（ＷＬＡＮ）、ＩＥＥＥ ８０２．１５に基づいて構築された無線パーソナル・エリア・ネットワーク（ＷＰＡＮ）（ＢＬＵＥＴＯＯＴＨ（商標）とも呼ばれる）、ＩＥＥＥ ８０２．１６に基づいて構築されたＷｏｒｌｄｗｉｄｅ Ｉｎｔｅｒｏｐｅｒａｂｉｌｉｔｙ ｆｏｒ Ｍｉｃｒｏｗａｖｅ Ａｃｃｅｓｓ（ＷｉＭＡＸ）またはＷｉｒｅｌｅｓｓ ｍｅｔｒｏｐｏｌｉｔａｎ ａｒｅａ ｎｅｔｗｏｒｋ（ＷＭＡＮ）、ＵＭＴＳあるいは１ｘＥＶＤＯに基づいた第３世代（３Ｇ）パケット・データ・アクセス技術またはその拡張技術（例えば、高速ダウンリンク・パケット・アクセス（ＨＳＤＰＡ））、衛星経由のパケット・データ・アクセス、または、例えば、ＩＥＥＥ ８０２．１７に基づいて構築された、速度２点間光リンク経由の高速パケット・データ・アクセスなどがある。
ロケーション・サービス可能デバイス２００は、次に、プレゼンス・サービスの必要な登録をＲＦＣ２７７８、２７７９および３８５６ごとに開始する。プレゼンス・サービスに登録されると、ネットワーキング情報（例えば、ＩＰアドレス）等を含むデバイス連絡先情報がプレゼンス・サーバ２０４に保管される。
ステップ２で、ロケーション・サービス可能デバイス２００のロケーション情報に対する要求がロケーション・サービス・プロバイダ２０６によって生成される。このロケーション要求は、ネットワーク内の、ロケーション情報、例えば、位置に基づいた天気レポートなどを使用するアプリケーションによって、またはエンド・ユーザ端末に置かれているアプリケーションによって生成されてもよい。
ステップ３で、対応するロケーション・サービス・クライアント２０８が、ロケーション・サーバ２１０に、以下の識別子の１つと他の基準とともに指定されたターゲット・デバイス２００に対するロケーション要求を送信する。すなわち、識別子ＭＳＩＳＤＮ、ＩＭＳＩ、ＭＳＮ、ＭＩＮ、ＩＰアドレス、ＳＩＰ ＵＲＩ、ＴＥＬ ＵＲＩまたはＸＭＰＰ ＵＲＩ。
ステップ４で、ロケーション要求を受信すると、ロケーション・サーバ２１０はターゲット・デバイス２００の識別子（複数可）を調べて、ターゲット・デバイス２００が従来の移動体ネットワーク（例えば、パケット・データ可能セルラ・ネットワーク）内にないことを判定する。ロケーション・サーバ２１０は、次に、ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャをプレゼンス／インスタント・メッセージ・サーバ２０４に対してトリガするために必要な情報を含むインスタント・メッセージを開始する。ロケーション・サーバ２１０は、他のネットワーク・エンティティからのＳＩＰ ＵＲＩ、ＸＭＰＰ ＵＲＩまたはＴＥＬ ＵＲＩ以外の受信された識別子、例えば、セルラ・ネットワーク内のＨＬＲ／ＨＳＳに基づいてターゲット・デバイス２００のＳＩＰ ＵＲＩ、ＸＭＰＰ ＵＲＩまたはＴＥＬ ＵＲＩを検索することができる。
ステップ５で、登録情報に基づいて、プレゼンス／インスタント・メッセージ・サーバ２０４がＳＩＰを介してターゲット・デバイス２００にインスタント・メッセージを転送する。開示された実施形態では、インスタント・メッセージは、ターゲット・デバイス２００とプレゼンス／インスタント・メッセージ・サーバ２０４との間に既存のＳＩＰセッションが確立されている場合、既存のＳＩＰセッションで送信できる。
ステップ６で、ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャをトリガするために必要な情報を含むインスタント・メッセージを受信すると、ターゲット・デバイス２００は、ロケーション・サーバ２１０とのユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・セッションを開始する。ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス信号方式は、標準のＴＣＰ／ＩＰまたはＵＤＰ／ＩＰを使用することもできるし、トランスポートとして標準のＳＩＰ信号方式を使用することもできる。トランスポートとしてＳＩＰ信号方式を使用することは、ネットワークにセキュリティ・エンティティ（例えば、ファイヤウォール）が関与しており、特定のポートとの直接ＩＰ接続がアクセス不可の場合、多少の利点がある。ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャが完了すると、ロケーション・サーバ２１０は、ターゲット・デバイス２００のロケーション・フィックスを検索する。
ステップ７で、ロケーション・サーバ２１０は、検索されたロケーション・フィックスをロケーション・サービス・クライアント２０８に返す。
ステップ８で、ロケーション・サービス・クライアント２０８がロケーション情報をロケーション・サービス・アプリケーションに送り返す。
図２は、ロケーション・サーバ２１０がロケーション・サービス２１０のウォッチャーとして働き、ターゲット・デバイス２００がオンラインのときのみロケーション検索プロシージャを開始する、本発明の原理によるユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャの変形を示している。
図２について示され、説明されるプロシージャは、ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービスの主プロシージャとして実施されてよい。あるいは、図２について示され、説明される呼フローへのフォールバック・プロシージャとしても実施できる。
図２に示された一般的なサービスの説明は次のようになる。
ステップ１で、ロケーション・サービス可能デバイス２００のロケーション情報に対する要求がロケーション・サービス・プロバイダ２０６によって生成される。ロケーション要求は、ネットワーク内の、ロケーション情報、例えば、位置に基づいた天気レポートなどを使用するアプリケーションによって、またはエンド・ユーザ端末に常駐しているアプリケーションによって生成されてもよい。
ステップ２で、対応するロケーション・サービス・クライアント２０８が、ロケーション・サーバ２１０に、以下の識別子の１つと他の基準とともに指定されたターゲット・デバイス２００に対するロケーション要求を送信する。すなわち、識別子ＭＳＩＳＤＮ、ＩＭＳＩ、ＭＳＮ、ＭＩＮ、ＩＰアドレス、ＳＩＰ ＵＲＩ、ＴＥＬ ＵＲＩまたはＸＭＰＰ ＵＲＩ。
ステップ３で、ロケーション要求メッセージを受信すると、ロケーション・サーバ２１０はターゲット・デバイス２００の識別子（複数可）を調べて、ターゲット・デバイス２００が従来の移動体ネットワーク（例えば、パケット・データ可能セルラ・ネットワーク）内でサービングされていないことを判定する。ロケーション・サーバ２１０は、次に、ターゲット・デバイス２００のプレゼンス関連の情報を入手するために、プレゼンス／インスタント・メッセージ・サーバ２０４に対して要求を開始する。
ステップ４で、ターゲット・デバイス２００が使用可能になり、プレゼンス／インスタント・メッセージ・サーバ２０４に状況更新を送信する。
ステップ５で、プレゼンス／インスタント・メッセージ・サーバ２０４が、ターゲット・デバイス２００の連絡先情報が入った通知を送信する。連絡先情報は、例えば、ターゲット・デバイス２００のＩＰアドレスを含むことができる。
ステップ６で、ロケーション・サーバ２１０が、ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャをプレゼンス／インスタント・メッセージ・サーバ２０４に対してトリガするために必要な情報を含むインスタント・メッセージをオプションで開始する。
ステップ７で、登録情報に基づいて、プレゼンス／インスタント・メッセージ・サーバ２０４がＳＩＰを介してターゲット・デバイス２００にインスタント・メッセージを転送する。開示された実施形態では、インスタント・メッセージは、ターゲット・デバイス２００とプレゼンス／インスタント・メッセージ・サーバ２０４との間に既存のＳＩＰセッションが確立されている場合、既存のＳＩＰセッションで送信できる。
ステップ８で、ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャをトリガするために必要な情報を含むインスタント・メッセージを受信すると、ターゲット・デバイス２００は、ロケーション・サーバ２１０とのユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・セッションを開始する。ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス信号方式は、標準のＴＣＰ／ＩＰまたはＵＤＰ／ＩＰを使用することもできるし、トランスポートとして標準のＳＩＰ信号方式を使用することもできる。トランスポートとしてＳＩＰ信号方式を使用することは、ネットワークにセキュリティ・エンティティ（例えば、ファイヤウォール）が関与していて、特定のポートとの直接ＩＰ接続がアクセス不可の場合、多少の利点がある。ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャが完了すると、ロケーション・サーバ２１０は、ターゲット・デバイス２００のロケーション・フィックスを検索する。
ステップ９で、ロケーション・サーバ２１０は、検索されたロケーション・フィックスをロケーション・サービス・クライアント２０８に返す。
ステップ１０で、ロケーション・サービス・クライアント２０８がロケーション情報をロケーション・サービス・アプリケーションに送り返す。
図３は、ボイス・オーバ・インターネット・プロトコル（ＶｏＩＰ）緊急発呼者に関する更新されたロケーション情報を検索するためにＳＩＰを介したユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービスが使用される、本発明の原理による別の使用例を示している。
図３に示された一般的なサービスの説明は次のようになる。
図３のステップ１で、ＶｏＩＰベースの緊急呼が、ＶｏＩＰ端末３００から、固定回線アクセス（例えば、ダイアルアップ、デジタル加入者ループ（ＤＳＬ）、ケーブルまたはローカル・エリア・ネットワーク（ＬＡＮ））を介して、または以下の手法（ただし、限定ではない）の１つを使用した無線アクセスを介して開始される。無線アクセスに使用される手法には、ＩＥＥＥ ８０２．１１ｘに基づいて構築された無線ＬＡＮ（ＷＬＡＮ）、ＩＥＥＥ ８０２．１５に基づいて構築された無線パーソナル・エリア・ネットワーク（ＷＰＡＮ）（ＢＬＵＥＴＯＯＴＨ（商標）とも呼ばれる）、ＩＥＥＥ ８０２．１６に基づいて構築されたＷｏｒｌｄｗｉｄｅ Ｉｎｔｅｒｏｐｅｒａｂｉｌｉｔｙ ｆｏｒ Ｍｉｃｒｏｗａｖｅ Ａｃｃｅｓｓ（ＷｉＭＡＸ）またはＷｉｒｅｌｅｓｓ ｍｅｔｒｏｐｏｌｉｔａｎ ａｒｅａ ｎｅｔｗｏｒｋ（ＷＭＡＮ）、ＵＭＴＳあるいは１ｘＥＶＤＯに基づいた第３世代（３Ｇ）パケット・データ・アクセス技術またはその拡張技術（例えば、高速ダウンリンク・パケット・アクセス（ＨＳＤＰＡ））、衛星経由のパケット・データ・アクセス、または、例えば、ＩＥＥＥ ８０２．１７に基づいて構築された、速度２点間光リンク経由の高速パケット・データ・アクセスなどがある。
ＶｏＩＰ緊急呼は、公衆交換電話ネットワーク（ＰＳＴＮ）３２０、選択的ルータ・ネットワーク３３０、緊急９１１呼サーバ３０４からの直接セッション・インターネット・プロトコル（ＳＩＰ）ベースのネットワークを経由して適切な緊急応答機関（ＰＳＡＰ）３１０で確立される。
ステップ２で、ＶｏＩＰ緊急呼の間、ＰＳＡＰ ３１０は、ＶｏＩＰ緊急発呼者３００の更新された位置を要求する。
ステップ３で、ロケーション・サーバ２１０がＳＩＰ呼の信号パス上にある場合、ロケーション・サーバ２１０は、ＳＩＰ ＩＮＦＯメッセージに埋め込まれたユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービスを使用して、Ｅ９１１呼サーバ３０４に対してトリガ・メッセージを開始する。
ステップ４で、ＳＩＰ ＩＮＦＯメッセージがＶｏＩＰ緊急発呼者３００に転送される。
ステップ５で、ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービスを使用してトリガ・メッセージを受信すると、ＶｏＩＰ緊急呼の開始元であるＶｏＩＰ端末３００がロケーション・サーバ３０６でユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャを開始する。
ステップ６で、ロケーション・サーバ３０６が、検索されたロケーション情報をＰＳＡＰ ３１０に送り返す。
本発明は例示の実施形態を参照して説明されているが、当業者は、本発明の真の趣旨および範囲から逸脱することなく、本発明の説明された実施形態に様々な修正を行うことができるだろう。

Claims (20)

  1. 発呼者の位置を入手するための方法であって、
    ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャを開始することと、
    セッション開始プロトコル（ＳＩＰ）セッションがすでに存在している場合、ロケーション要求をユーザ・プレーン可能発呼者デバイスにセッション開始プロトコル（ＳＩＰ）を介して通知することと
    を含む方法。
  2. 前記ロケーション要求が前記ユーザ・プレーン可能発呼者デバイスにＳＩＰ ＩＮＦＯメッセージを介して通知される、
    請求項１に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための方法。
  3. 前記ロケーション要求が、前記ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャのトランスポート・メッセージとしてＳＩＰメッセージングを使用し、そうでなければ、ネットワーク・セキュリティによって引き起こされる問題を克服する、
    請求項１に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための方法。
  4. そうでなければ、ネットワーク・セキュリティによって引き起こされる前記問題がファイヤウォールである、請求項３に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための方法。
  5. 前記発呼者に関する呼が緊急呼である、請求項１に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための方法。
  6. 前記開始することが、前記ユーザ・プレーン可能発呼者デバイスにインスタント・メッセージを送信することを含む
    請求項１に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための方法。
  7. 前記ユーザ・プレーン可能発呼者デバイスがボイス・オーバ・インターネット・プロトコル（ＶｏＩＰ）電話機である、
    請求項１に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための方法。
  8. 前記ＶｏＩＰ電話機が無線ＶｏＩＰ電話機である、
    請求項７に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための方法。
  9. 前記ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャが、Ｏｐｅｎ Ｍｏｂｉｌｅ Ａｌｌｉａｎｃｅ（ＯＭＡ）によって定義されたｓｅｃｕｒｅ ｕｓｅｒ ｐｌａｎｅ ｆｏｒ ｌｏｃａｔｉｏｎ（ＳＵＰＬ）標準に準拠している、
    請求項１に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための方法。
  10. 発呼者の位置を入手するための装置であって、
    ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャを開始するための手段と、
    セッション開始プロトコル（ＳＩＰ）セッションがすでに存在している場合、ロケーション要求をユーザ・プレーン可能発呼者デバイスにセッション開始プロトコル（ＳＩＰ）を介して通知するための手段と
    を含む装置。
  11. 前記ロケーション要求を通知するための前記手段が、前記ユーザ・プレーン可能発呼者デバイスにＳＩＰ ＩＮＦＯメッセージを介して通知する、
    請求項１０に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための装置。
  12. 前記ロケーション要求を通知するための前記手段が、前記ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャのトランスポート・メッセージとしてＳＩＰメッセージングを使用し、そうでなければ、ネットワーク・セキュリティによって引き起こされる問題を克服する、
    請求項１０に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための装置。
  13. そうでなければ、ネットワーク・セキュリティによって引き起こされる前記問題がファイヤウォールである、請求項１２に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための装置。
  14. 前記発呼者に関する呼が緊急呼である、請求項１０に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための装置。
  15. 開始するための前記手段が、前記ユーザ・プレーン可能発呼者デバイスにインスタント・メッセージを送信するための手段を含む
    請求項１０に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための装置。
  16. 前記ユーザ・プレーン可能発呼者デバイスがボイス・オーバ・インターネット・プロトコル（ＶｏＩＰ）電話機である、
    請求項１０に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための装置。
  17. 前記ＶｏＩＰ電話機が無線ＶｏＩＰ電話機である、
    請求項１６に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための装置。
  18. 前記ユーザ・プレーン・ロケーション・サービス・プロシージャが、Ｏｐｅｎ Ｍｏｂｉｌｅ Ａｌｌｉａｎｃｅ（ＯＭＡ）によって定義されたｓｅｃｕｒｅ ｕｓｅｒ ｐｌａｎｅ ｆｏｒ ｌｏｃａｔｉｏｎ（ＳＵＰＬ）標準に準拠している、
    請求項１０に記載の、発呼者の位置を入手するための装置。
  19. 発呼者の位置を入手するための方法であって、
    発呼者とのマルチメディア・セッションがすでに確立されているかを判定することと、
    前記発呼者とのマルチメディア・セッションがすでに確立されている場合、前記発呼者の更新されたロケーション情報を既存のセッション開始プロトコル（ＳＩＰ）セッションを介して入手することと
    を含む方法。
  20. 発呼者の位置を入手するための装置であって、
    発呼者とのマルチメディア・セッションがすでに確立されているかを判定するための手段と、
    前記発呼者とのマルチメディア・セッションがすでに確立されている場合、前記発呼者の更新されたロケーション情報を既存のセッション開始プロトコル（ＳＩＰ）セッションを介して入手するための手段と
    を含む装置。
