Abstract

996,938. Adjustable hinges. PRESSED STEEL CO. Ltd. Feb. 5, 1964, No. 4974/64. Heading E2F. An adjustable hinge for mounting vehicles' doors comprises a first leaf 11 fixed to the door, a second leaf 13 secured to a door post both being pivotably interconnected by means of a leaf 15 whose position relative to leaf 13 may be adjusted and retained by means of one or more bolts 17, 18 in order to compensate for sag by causing the required movement of the hinge pin 19. The hinge pin 19 which is threaded and adjustable in the leaf 15 has a hemispherical end portion 21 adapted to engage in a cup 22 located in the drilling 23 in the door leaf 11.
