Abstract
987,606. Feeding webs. MASCHINENFABRIK ADRITZ A.G. Dec. 3, 1962 [Dec. 3, 1961], No. 45600/62. Heading B6B. An endless band of metal or synthetic plastic material guided over rollers mounted at the articulations of a triangular or quadrilateral linkage transfers a web of fibrous material from one machine group to another. In Fig. 1, a web 15 of damp fibrous material adheres to the endless band 16 by surface tension until blown off by a blower 17 acting through holes in the band 16. One or both end bearings of the roller 10 may be adjusted with a mechanism 13 to prevent lateral deviations of the band 16 when passing round the four rollers 9-12. The first link 5 of the link quadrilateral 5-8 is fixed to a column 2 forming part of one of the machine groups, but may be shortened or lengthened with a mechanism 3. The link quadrilateral is movable to the position shown in broken lines when not in use. In a second embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown), three rollers are mounted at the articulations of a triangular linkage.
