A fin-stabilized projectile having a tail 1 to which fins 2 are fixed is provided with passages 3 leading from the base to the outer periphery of the tail, each passage being inclined at an actute angle a to the longitudinal axis of the projectile and at an angle # to a diametral axis through the passage. The passage may be in the form of borings through the tail or may consist of deep-milled grooves.
