Abstract

1,169,079. Practice projectiles. DYNAMIT NOBEL A.G. 31 May, 1967 [1 June, 1966], No. 25049/67. Addition to 1,143,436. Heading F3A. Practice ammunition projectile as in Specification 1,143,436 is characterized in that the forward end of the projectile terminates as an annular end surface which is substantially perpendicular to the axis of the bore. The forward and/or rearward end portion of the projectile body may be formed as a truncated core. The destructible covering may be provided with a shearable flange, whereby the covering is forced through the bore by the pressure of the propellant gases.
