954,596. Seat frames. J. B SMITH, and P. W. LANGAN. May 2, 1962 [Jan. 19, 1962; March 12, 1962], No. 16821/62. Headings A4M and A4W. An armchair comprises a frame member 1 manufactured from rigid foam polystyrene prefabricated or moulded sections 2 to 5 glued together, polyether or elastic foam upholstery 20 being glued to the frame member and a one piece removable cloth covering fitted about the upholstered frame member, the frame member being mounted on a base 14 incorporating a seat cushion support 16 which may be fitted in the frame member to receive a seat cushion 19 and provide a foundation to which legs 15 may be secured. Additional polyether rolls 22 may be placed in the back rest. A tubular reinforcing member 11 may be incorporated in the armchair moulding and legs 13 may be fitted thereto.
