947,032. Burners. VEREINIGTE OSTERRECHISCHE EISEN-UND STAHLWERKE A.G. Oct. 10, 1962 [Oct. 18, 1961], No. 38425/62. Heading F4T. A blast burner comprises an annular fuel supply tube 1 surrounded by a double jacket 6, 7 supplied with air through a tube 9 and connected by an outlet tube 10 to a central tube 3 disposed within the fuel supply tube 1 and discharging into the fuel at the burner mouth. The air supply tube 9 has a valve 13 and is connected to the inner jacket 6. The two jackets 6, 7 communicate at the mouth of the burner. The central tube 3 is connected to a branch conduit 11 of the outlet tube 10 and may include a throttle 12. A baffle plate 15 may be provided in the upper part of the outer jacket 7. The feed supply tube 1 and the air outlet tube 10 have valves 2, 14.
