Class 34(2) The drum 1 of a spin-drier has permanently secured thereto at its upper loading end a rubber or other flexible annulus 2 having an axially extending flange portion 3 clamped between the wall 4 and rim 5 of the drum. The inner periphery of the annulus is shaped to define a circular array of tongues 6 which extend radially inwardly towards the drum axis to prevent articles from being ejected from the drum.
