Abstract

1, 047, 434. Push-type centrifuger. ESCHER WYSS. A.G. May 31, 1963 [June 4, 1962], No. 21972/63. Heading B1D. A push-type centrifuge is characterized in having a pusher plate which is perforated at least around its periphery. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2 a pusher plate 4 has screen holes 11 through which liquid may pass during treatment of slurries. Holes 11 may be backed by discharge chambers 14 extending to radial discharge openings 16 and bores 17 to the back of plate 4. In a modification shown in Fig. 3 a pusher plate 18 is provided with a frusto conical push surface 19 which opens towards the outlet end of the centrifugal drum, there also being provided an axially projecting guide ring 20 mounted at the periphery on the back of the pusher plate.
