Abstract

817,327. Lifesaving apparatus. FEST, A. Aug. 10, 1955 [Sept. 24, 1954; March 7, 1955], No. 23018/55. Class 77 A lifesaving apparatus comprises an inflatable member 15, Fig. 1, having a collar 17 through which the head of a user may pass and arms 18<SP>1</SP>, 18<SP>2</SP>, carrying a hook 19 and a ring 20, respectively, so that a plurality of such apparatus may be connected together in line. The member is connected to a body belt 6 which may carry a pouch 22, Fig. 3, for storing the member when deflated. The apparatus may be used in conjunction with a float 25, Fig. 4, preferably inflatable, through which passes a rod 26 having rings 27<SP>1</SP>, 27<SP>2</SP>.
