Abstract
230,138. Southern, A. T., and Mechelen, E. van. Nov. 7, 1923. Bench stops.-A bench stop comprises a plate 3 hinged to a base-piece 1 let into the bench top and adapted to be moved from an elevated position into its inoperative position, in which it lies flush with the surface of the base-piece 1 in a recess 2 therein, by a screw 13 passing through the plate into a screw-threaded socket 10 pivoted to the bottom of the base-piece. A spring 15 surrounding the screw 13 tends to raise the plate.
