Pencil-holders consist of two gripping-members 1, 2, of which the member 1 has a rectangular aperture 5 with inclined end faces, and the member 2 carries a projection 3 with inclined faces 4 adapted to pass into the aperture 5. A screw bolt 6 carried by the part 2 passes through an aperture 8 in the part 1 and carries a clamping- nut 7.
