Abstract

The pivoted caliper-type housing (11) of a disc brake apparatus is mounted on a stationary portion of the motor vehicle swingably about a mounting shaft (31) extending through the caliper-type housing (11) in a plane substantially parallel to the plane in which the brake disc (15) lies. An eccentric circular sleeve (35) mounted around shaft (31) may be fixed in various angular positions to adjust the position of the brake pads (21, 23) relative to the disc (15). <IMAGE>
