1517354 Spot-type disc brakes TOKICO Ltd 16 July 1975 [17 July 1974] 29795/75 Heading F2E A disc brake comprises a fixed housing 1, a cylinder 2 slidably mounted in the housing, a piston 3 slidably mounted in the cylinder for directly applying pad 10, and a yoke 12 which moves with the cylinder to apply pad 11. An annular projection la on the housing serves as a stop for the cylinder and a guide for the piston. The housing has arms 16 straddling the disc and connected by bracket 20 and the pads are slidable on pins 17 extending between bracket and housing. Pins 15 secured to the housing are slidably received in resilient bushes 14 located in collars 13 secured to the yoke; alternatively the slidable connection may be provided between the yoke and bracket 20.
