Window frames; glazing.-The sashes 1 of a window consist of a metallic bar or plate pressed and bent to form a projection a and a raised bead b for receiving a spring fixing-piece 2 and putty to secure the pane. An intermediate sash-bar consists of a double bent thin metal plate having ribs c for the glass, a central rib 3, and a bead d pressed out and bent at one edge to cover the other edge of the sash bar, and to receive the fixing-piece 2 and putty. The parts are welded or soldered together.
